The Only Way to God – How to Be Saved

GOD LOVES YOU – AND DESIRES TO BE A HEAVENLY FATHER TO YOU

Hearing You – Empowering You – Blessing You – Protecting You – Loving You – Talking With You – Leading You into An Abundant Life!

So open your ears to hear the Gospel – which means GOOD NEWS!

ONLY BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST…

ARE YOU ABLE TO BE RECONCILED TO GOD…

AND HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND JESUS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO COMES TO DWELL WITHIN YOUR OWN SOUL.

  SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD.

JESUS CHRIST’S BLOOD RECONCILES US TO GOD…

THIS IS WHY JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD.

JESUS- LIVED AND DIED – AS A SPOTLESS LAMB – WITHOUT SIN.

WORTHY IS THE LAMB WHO WAS SLAIN.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

It was the “sacrifice”, in the Old Testament, that had to be “pure and spotless”… NOT THE PERSON having their sin atoned for.  This is because the BLOOD washed away SIN for that person. A divine exchange took place. God was satisfied, and the person forgiven, because of the blood shed.

This reveals how Christ, the Lamb of God, would wash man’s sin away when He went to the Cross.

The GOOD NEWS is that Christ came to save sinners… not to condemn them… but to FREE them from SIN and DEATH.

John 3:17  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

You need not become perfect to come to God. You need realize you are sinFULL and that it is in coming TO CHRIST that sin can LEAVE your life.

THIS IS GRACE.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT REVELATION of the BLOOD OF CHRIST:

In modern day, we run something known as “a paternity test” to determine “the father” of a child…for the blood, comes from the Father…and runs through that child’s veins whom he has fathered.

This modern day “revelation” can help us to actually understand why the blood of one man could save the world.

Jesus was the one man in history who was “VIRGIN born” and Christ himself testifies that His Father was GOD.

Jesus is a pretty high authority, wouldn’t you say? And He testifies of himself as the literal SON, of God, throughout his life.

However God is an even higher authority, and He himself declared:

“This IS my beloved SON, in whom I am well pleased.”

Jesus’s Blood is of GOD…HIS FATHER… It is therefore ROYAL BLOOD…the blood OF GOD.

Therefore ONLY – HIS – POWERFUL PURE SPOTLESS BLOOD – THAT OF GOD’S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON –

COULD hold the power to save the world from the wrath of God. No “man”but God’s SON could die TO SAVE,

so that we might partake of the love and grace of God, and be free from the law of sin and death.

God loved you enough to send His Son to take your place… to become sin for you and I…

that you and I could become The Righteousness of God IN CHRIST.

Jesus – The Way To God

 LET’S LOOK AT SCRIPTURE:

“If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,

and THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN” (1st John1:7).

Praying DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Joining a church DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Living a good life DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Being baptized in water DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Partaking of the sacraments DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Committing your life to God DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

We cannot leave His SON, Jesus, out of it!

THE BLOOD OF JESUS — HIS BLOOD ALONE — CLEANSES FROM SIN!

“For THE WAGES OF SIN is death; but the GIFT OF GOD IS eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

Sin pays singular wages: DEATH! Christ died for our sins “according to the Scriptures” (1st Corinthians 15:3).

It took the DEATH OF JESUS, and the shedding of HIS BLOOD,

to pay sin’s debt, and bring REDEMPTION FROM SIN.

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead,

and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us,

and WASHED US FROM OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BLOOD” (Revelation 1:5).

We read in 1st Peter 1:18,19:

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; BUT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

And again in 1st John 1:7 we read:

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

The only way to have your sins forgiven, and your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, is by the precious blood of Christ Jesus.

How do you receive God’s gift of eternal life?

Realize that you are a guilty of being a sinner and are under the condemnation of God’s Law (Romans 3:19).  You and I deserve to be punished for our sins.  We are guilty and without excuse.

Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

And Romans 6:23 says, “the wages of sin = death”…

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive your sins,

Who will wash them away with His precious blood.

That’s it.  It is one’s faith in the Savior, because of the redeeming power of Christ’s literal blood, that saves a person.  No self-righteous works are required to be saved.  In fact, adding anything to faith alone in Christ is no faith at all.  Either we trust Christ 100%, or we don’t trust Him at all.  Trusting anything other than Jesus means that you aren’t solely relying upon His work of redemption to save you.

Please don’t misunderstand me, you may have all sorts of questions, doubts, worries and fears, and that’s ok, just so long as you place what faith you DO have in the Savior.  Even if you only have as much faith as a small seed, that’s ok, just so long as it’s enough faith for you to believe on Jesus Christ to save your soul from sin and Hell (Romans 10:13).  God does not require a degree of faith to be saved; no, rather, He just requires faith.  Optimism is not faith.  Saying you believe is not faith.  Hoping for the best is not faith.  Saving Faith is when you come as a sinner in need of a Savior, and you actively place your trust upon Jesus Christ to forgive and save you,

because of the blood that He shed for you.

Romans 3:23-28

23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKETH AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL.” —Leviticus 17:11

“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” —Hebrews 9:12

It’s The Blood Of Jesus!

IF YOU DIDN’T SEE THIS YET, please view it… Believers, especially you!

IF YOU ARE READY TO RECEIVE THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

JUST ASK JESUS TO BE YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR…

AND LET HIM TAKE THE RULE OVER YOUR DAILY LIFE. HE IS GOD.

I WILL WALK YOU THROUGH A SIMPLE PRAYER THAT GOD WILL INDEED RESPOND TO.

————————————-

Pray this prayer out loud in faith, believing in what you speak, as talking to God. The Spirit of God and Christ, the Holy Spirit, will come to live WITHIN YOU and your new life will begin. Your old life will pass away, as it is, for you will become a new creation in Christ Jesus.  The LORD will transform you by the renewing of your mind, with the Word of God, as you choose to obey your LORD and Savior.

THE LORD WILL INDEED TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE…

AND WHEN YOU DIE, YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN, IF YOU ABIDE IN CHRIST.

Father God,

I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life or earn it by my works.

My sin has separated me from you, and only Jesus Christ’s blood can reconcile me to you.

Yet, Father, I repent of all my sin and I choose to turn away from sin, and desire to be free of sin’s consequences.

I believe your son Jesus Christ died, shedding his blood, washing away all the guilt and condemnation and penalty for my sin…for ALL my sin… and that he rose from the grave to make me a new creation, and to prepare me to dwell in your presence forever.

Please Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me.

I am now placing my trust in you alone for my salvation.

I accept your free gift of eternal life.

I will live my life for you, and make you my Lord, giving you the rule over my life.

Enable us to be in close relationship and give me your wisdom for making my life’s decisions.

Fill me, also, with The Holy Spirit…that He may empower me to live like Christ, and to communicate with you, God, and to equip me to share my faith with others.

And, yes, I look forward to talking with you, and listening to you speak to me from Your Word.  I know you will be closer than a best friend or a brother.

I will confess you, Jesus, before everyone I know, so that they, too, may come to know you.

I believe NOW I am free to be who you have created me to be!

Thank you that now I am saved, and that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit will abide in me and with me forever and ever, even after I die.

Yes, that eternal life is mine! Fellowship with you God, my Father, and with Jesus Christ, my brother!  And Heaven awaits!

And now I can call myself a Believer!  A Christian!

I’m so thankful!

I love you so much, Lord!  Thank you for saving me!

YOU are the greatest gift I have ever received.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

The Workmanship of The Potter

Note, this article builds precept upon precept, and goes from personal application to an application that includes today’s society and a new perspective on these end times, so please read the article in its entirety, even though the beginning foundational truth shared may already be known.

————-

This past week, I was receiving God’s word to me… He said:

“Be you!”

“Do you believe in me?” (Yes)

“Then believe in you.”

“You are MY workmanship!”

It was brought to my recall the verse that speaks of this very thing, and it is inclusive of all believers.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

DECLARE ALOUD FOR YOURSELF:

I Am His Workmanship!”

Definition of workmanship: quality imparted to a thing that’s in the process of being made. Focuses on the artistry or skill of the workmen. Workmanship is the degree of skill with which a product is made or a job is done.

Imagine it, Believers… God has not only saved us from sin, he is continually working in us to fulfill his perfect will for us!

We are his workmanship, created unto good works…and He will work in us, to “want to” do those good works he has ordained for us to do. He will give the “enablement” to do them too.

Philippians 2:13

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Friends, not only is he ever working in us, but he promises to do it until he comes!

Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

I continued to receive His word to me:

“If you are my workmanship, then you must believe in My Ability to mold you as a potter creates a vessel for his own purpose. If you KNOW this, then no “regrets”, “what-ifs”, you “should do this” or “you should have done that” will remain to torment. Thoughts like this may come, but as you draw near to me, they will not remain. They can be confessed and put under the blood, but they need not paralyze you and keep you from moving forward in my will.”

His emphasis was for me to trust in His Ability to mold me, for he takes into account what needs to be done within my heart, my attitudes, my actions, and he will be faithful as my potter to mold me.

Isaiah 64:8
But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

DECLARE WITH ME ALOUD:
“I am the work of His hand!”

He is the Potter, and we are the clay. Who deserves the glory? Well, the glory goes to the artistry and creativity of the Potter, of course. We may be looked upon and glory seen IN US, as a person would look at the vessel we’ve become, …but the clay vessel didn’t mold itself…the potter did. Right?

II Corinthians 4:6-7
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels (clay), that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

The power is of God, and not of us. So we need not stress so much, and we can even glory in our weaknesses, not only in our strengths. Why?? Because God has the ability to work in us and work through us regardless….IF we will choose to remain in the potters hand. And we cease quarreling with our Maker.

I want us to look at Romans 9:20-21

20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

When we look in the context of these verses, we realize God is saying the clay definitely includes believer and unbeliever alike. We are ALL clay in his hands.  He is the Potter and is in control of men, his creation, and the world, his creation.

In today’s society, verse 20 is very applicable and is being declared. Rebellious clay vessels saying, why did you make me like this? They are replying against God as their clay hardens and they quarrel with their maker, the Potter. We hear this a lot. Both in the camp of the unrighteousness ( the unbeliever)  and in the camp of the righteous (the believer).

Here is an example of the unbelievers camp: The LGBT community, for instance, says basically to God, “you made me the wrong way!” Transgenders declare, I should’ve been a girl, or I should’ve been a boy. Others rebel, declaring to the Potter, i don’t want to be considered male or female, but be genderless. But the Potter declares in his own word “male and female created he them”. Others do not want to follow the Creator’s design for marriage and sexual relationships to be between male and female in the confines of marriage. They want to be engaged sexually with both genders, or woman to woman, and man to man. The Clay does not have that right! This is them, as clay, quarreling with their maker, the Potter. Same is true for those who live together in fornication, not desiring God’s plan for marriage to be a covenant and the foundation for growing healthy families. So out of his hands they go…or rather, attempt to go…but clay cannot form itself. It will become a vessel of dishonor. The clay will become hardened and useless. It will become worthless to the potters purposes for it. It will be a vessel of dishonor. UNLESS it realizes it does have a Potter. And it surrenders itself to the Potters hands. After all, a Potter can start from scratch and remake any lump of clay. That clay can receive salvation and be remade, and be worked in by the Lord, to accomplish his or her divine purpose.

Now here is an example of a believer quarreling with their maker: I want to tell you a story of a friend of mine. This was from years ago, and she won’t mind me sharing it. Her name is Marsha. She was at a ladies meeting at my house. She was a Christian, and walked in her spiritual gifts, but basically was very depressed and oppressed, and into her self-pity deep, and declared aloud to us all, “I just don’t like who I am!!” As she continued venting, it was clear she was comparing herself to the ladies in the room in regard to physical appearance, social standing, and family circumstance, and she found herself wanting “in her own mind” ….she was having a pity party…not having a clue of her value to God, her Potter. But as she was yet speaking so negatively in regard to herself, the prophetic word of the Lord welled up inside me and loosed my tongue and I declared to her as God speaking to her. looking into her eyes, and pointing a finger at her! The Lord declared: “I do not make junk! You were created by me, and for me, and according to my purpose, and you are exactly as you are to be!” (he then elaborated on her red curly hair, her short stout stature, her handicapped child as his son, her home as sufficient, and her recent blessing of financial aid and help being from Him.) “How dare you quarrel with me your maker! You are my daughter, and you are my workmanship. I created you to be who you are and I believe in you and happen to love my handiwork. You are special and loved, and you are just as I have planned you to be.”

Wow, I surprised myself, as His words came out of me, spoken to her. It was a definite rebuke, made in front of witnesses, but she received it…for she knew it was not me, but God, speaking to her, and it penetrated deep within her soul. She took in the message and was totally transformed by the truth she heard. She repented on the spot! Tears flowed! She really heard His Truth.  Over the weeks and months following, her very countenance changed! She was lively, and she became peaceful and content, and no longer did that cloud of oppression reign over her life. She fixed herself up physically, fixing hair and applying light makeup, and she didn’t compare herself anymore to anyone else, she delighted in ministry to her son, and she was content in her circumstances. Which incidentally changed a couple years later, as her son went to heaven and she went back to school, and experienced a brighter life thereafter. Why the change in her? She realized that all along she was God’s Workmanship! He designed her. He chose her to have her circumstances…that they were within his sovereign will. He saw what he had made, and saw that it was good!

Friends, do we realize we are His Workmanship? Can we let that sink in, so we can enjoy our daily lives?

—————–

Now, God did not stop here, in his speaking to me in this regard. He carried it further than a personal application. He revealed this potter and clay relationship is also important to our understanding what is transpiring in believers and unbelievers…the righteous and the unrighteous…in today’s society…and in these end times.

Let me explain: let’s look please at our same Romans 9, which referred to the potter and the clay, and read it in context, including verses before and after what we previously read.

Romans 9:17-23

17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory.

Now here, in verses 22 and 23,  is a key scripture of hope for all believers:

I want you to see that the reason God did harden Pharoah’s heart was so that God’s wrath, which was being controlled, could become a display of his power and glory to his people! Those of his people who were oppressed…he saw them…those who felt as captives to the wicked, he saw them… those who prayed and cried out for mercy, he heard them.

God was aware, as the potter, of the clay vessels he created, in the camp of the righteousness, and the unrighteous. Those his people, and those not his people. He was in control.

So, this being written for our instruction. Can we not confidently know that this wicked world is hardening and shaking their fist at God as Pharoah did, but God has a plan, he knows it all, he is long suffering? Why is he allowing the hardness? The answer is, so he can wow us, His chosen ones, and show us HIS glory!

Look at verses 22 and 23 once again! Read them aloud.

22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23…and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory.

Believers we are prepared unto glory!! As in the days of Pharoah, God remains in control of his wrath…but it will come… and he will make known His Glory, to us, His Children! His Chosen Ones!

Go ahead, declare this over yourself: “I am prepared unto glory!”

We will not fret due to evil doers…God is long suffering, giving them opportunity to repent, but knows those who won’t.

And we, believers, there is no need for us to fret about anything, in regard to our own clay weakness, because God’s got this! He will continue his work in you and I to the very end!

Think of the end times here upon us. God will destroy the evil ones, just as he did in Pharoah’s time, as his judgments release his people from the hands of the wicked. Be encouraged and full of joy believers!

I want you to now take a look at this New testament passage, in light of what we just read in Romans…for it sums up what is coming forth in these end times. And is it not just as it was in Pharoahs time?

It is the NASB version of II Thessalonians 1:6-12

For after all, it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted, and to us as well, when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, 8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our testimony to you was believed. 11 To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ

——–

I also want you to see this passage too, as you continue to think of the Potter in control of ALL clay, believers and unbelievers…and the fact that God is in control of the whole end time scenario that will play out in accordance with His Will.

Ephesians 1:3 -14 is a glorious passage. And note that verse 11 declares The Truth that he works all things after the counsel of his will.

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

God has His Will. And he has indeed given us Our Will. Yet that will, all men’s, is also known to God. Those who have been reconciled to God through Jesus can find great peace and joy, knowing they are continually being molded in the potters hand.

And believers, we can also find comfort knowing that those who are not in the potters hand, by their own will, still remain his clay. His control and power remains over them, even though they will not acknowledge his right as their Potter. The unbeliever is clay in the potters hand. The potter has power over the clay.

We can experience a change in the paradigm of how we approach our intercession for the unsaved. Knowing they are his clay, and he is their potter. Yes, we can pray for the Potter to have his mercies made known to them, and to continually call for their repentance. We can ask God to have them come to their senses and turn to him. We can ask the Potter to remake them. We can ask him to soften them. If oppressed by evil men, we can ask God to stop a certain behavior they are exhibiting toward us, or to punish them to bring them to their senses. His power remains over them amidst their free will. We must recognize this and overcome our own fear of evil. Note the Lord’s Prayer declares “I will fear no evil, for thou art with me!”

————

Now, as I close, here is God’s instruction to you and me:

This is what the Lord said (……you put your own name in the blank…and read it as if he is speaking directly to you):

____________, as you believe in me as the one in control…the workmanship of you and my people, and even those not my people, for believers and unbelievers both are clay, and I’m the potter…. then believe in my ability in you. You are my Workmanship. And I will work in you and through you to accomplish my will. I can handle your ups and downs, the victories and the failures, the struggles, obstacles, glories, achievements, and even your falls. I’ve known it. I can smooth it out. If you fall, I can even remake you. I, as the potter, remake vessels, all the time, that my purpose and will is done.

__________, your part is to believe in me, and in yourself, and purposely keep yourself in my hands, and in my mercies, so that I can easily use you and mold you for my purpose. Do not harden yourself against me or my purposes. Remain pliable in my hands.

And I __________________ say, YES LORD !

Let Love Shine ! While They Whine !

I was reading my bible this morning when the Holy Spirit illuminated verses 5 and 6 of the Love Chapter of the Bible, I Corinthians 13.  It is a chapter most believers are familiar with… for it is read at many weddings… but this passage isn’t just for interaction by couples. This passage is telling true believers what operating in God’s definition of love looks like.  It reveals the importance of this attribute being exhibited by a believer in today’s modern society.  As a matter of fact, our spiritual gifts aren’t worth anything without this love being witnessed by society as they look upon each of us individually. Together…we can make a difference…for we can operate in love within our own sphere of influence…and live this definition.

So…let’s read these specific two verses as they describe love:  I Corinthians 13:5-6

Love…. “does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.”

Here is an easy question for you: Does Society today reflect this kind of Love?

We can all emphatically say,  “No Way!”

After all, we all just experienced, via the media, the Charlottesville riot this past weekend.

Does Society as a whole behave rudely?  Yes!

Do they seek their own? Yes!

Do they think evil? Yes!

Do they rejoice in iniquity/sin? Yes! Like never before. No one calls sin SIN as the scripture does. Society is uniting in their acceptance of iniquity, and fighting for their rights to continue in it!

What about “rejoicing in the truth“?

Do they rejoice in the truth of God’s word? No!

Do they rejoice in Christ Jesus, the Savior of the Word, who says He IS the way, the TRUTH, and the life? and that no man comes to God the Father but through Him?  No!

Modern society is seeking to deny even basic truths like the institution of marriage, of male-female gender, God’s right to tell them, as their creator, what is good and what is evil? The absolutes of right and wrong are replaced by opinion and societal brain-washing! Evil is continually in man’s thoughts…and it doesn’t take anything to provoke someone to anger and violence! We’re getting pretty far from the truth when we want to erase our own history from existence.

And yet…. Doesn’t Society talk about Love?  … They sure do! … ALL the time!

The fact of the matter is, modern society, while condemning and persecuting believers who stand up for the truth, are calling those who agree with God “unloving”, when in actuality, their definition of love is a lie!  Love is neither tolerance of evil nor acceptance of the evil doer who is harming those around them by their evil ideology or works. Never being allowed to share an opinion different from them is not love.

Society has been operating under a false definition of love and we, as a whole, are therefore being destroyed from within. Not only the USA, but also other countries. They, who for the sake of this “false definition of love” have let people full of hate and division and immorality into their boundaries, which has now lead them to inner destruction. Lawlessness abounds across the land, and believers are really the only group of people who can remain hopeful, joyful, and loving amidst the chaos. Why? Because we have Christ within… and greater is He who is in us, than he who is in the world. Amen?! (smile)  This is why we can follow verse 7 of love’s chapter: “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”  Did not Christ exhibit that kind of love? and we abide in Him…hallelujah!

Love is being kind and patient, not being envious, or proud, or boastful, yes….but this is an attitude of our own hearts God speaks of.  As a nation, we must place love for GOD and for HIS WILL above all “tolerance” of an evil doer. This takes wisdom and knowledge of the truth. Once reborn by the blood of Jesus Christ, we depend upon the Spirit of God and our Bible to be read and understood, to follow after Jesus. It IS a narrow way! And not all who say Lord Lord even are going to find that narrow way, but those who Obey His Will and find their righteousness in Christ. Becoming a believer is free, it is of grace not of works, and totally makes us all “even” in the sight of God. No group is better than another within the body of Christ. We find equality at the humble foot of the cross looking up to Jesus, who alone is worthy of greatness. Yet Believers, we are “higher” than Society, for we are already eternal and seated in the heavenlies with Christ Jesus (as far as our position), and we CAN affect lives all around us, by our own individual life lived in LOVE and OBEDIENCE, for Christ lives in us. We can Shine! We can allow Christ to be glorified through us. Through our life of true love.

John 17 is an awesome prayer, prayed by Jesus Christ to the Father, and he is praying for us, Believers!! He says he “doesn’t pray for the world” but for us! He prays for us, because He is “glorified in us”, not in them. (See verses 8-9 of John 17)

Believers, we, as we let true love grow, as I Cor 13 defines it, and allow our hearts to pray for and build up one other …and speak out for God’s will and edify with words of faith…following after Jesus…we can begin to shine while they all whine!

I happen to believe if our light, collectively, becomes brighter, and our love more visible, that the lost will come to us to find the answers in this dark world and find hope and freedom in Jesus Christ.

To conclude:

Does society today reflect true Love? NO!  Even unbelievers are realizing that Trump is not the blame for everything in society that is going haywire! Although he is continuing to be blamed for every evil work. What he has become is an excuse for lawlessness, and a license for others to go their own way, for they can blame someone other than themselves, the evil of their own hearts, and their own lack of true love.

It’s time to stop the blame game and start the love from above!

Believers, Make a loving stand! Know your word! Tell the truth! Be true to yourself in Christ! Don’t deny the truth to be falsely loved by them. Don’t be bullied into embracing their false definition of love! All this compromise has produced nothing good… so let’s try another strategy! Let’s love them to the truth! Let’s share the true definition of love with them!

Love never fails! (I Cor 13:8)

Let’s allow Christ’s love to show outward to all. We won’t be behaving rudely…we won’t seek our own…we won’t be easily provoked…we will think no evil…we will not rejoice in iniquity…we will rejoice in the truth.  Amen?!! (smile)

Now is our time to shine! While they whine!

Don’t let them condemn you, a believer, saying that you do not know how to love, just because you speak the truth! Love rejoices in the truth! Amen?!!

I am writing this article to dispel the lies/confusion of the “love” that society is speaking of!  Believers, let’s not get sucked into a false definition of love.  We just observed from these two verses alone, that society as a whole is not operating in God’s definition of love. Men have become lovers of themselves! They know how to whine! Not shine!

But I say, Let us SHINE, and While they WHINE!

II Timothy 4:18 gives you a promise to hang onto. Remember this verse as you look around you and things seem to be completely lawless, chaotic, and fear would like to replace love within you:

“And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!”

God honors ME?

I’m reading the words spoken by Jesus Christ himself in John 12:26: “If any man serve me, let him follow me…and where I am, there shall my servant be: if any man serve me, him will My Father honor.

And I am in awe! Imagine the opportunity that lies before You and I! … that the God who created the universe, and that holds all things together, and that rules and reigns over all the affairs of men and nations, would honor us? Seriously, as an individual! God would honor you!

Don’t we all desire to be honored?

Not sure?

Okay, let’s talk about what honor means, at its definition: to honor means:  to esteem, respect, admire, defer to, look to, appreciate, value, cherish, adore; reverence, revere, venerate, put on a pedestal. To honor means to respect and revere someone worthy of admiration!

Oh wow…Christ is telling each of us, that if we serve and follow him, God the Father will honor you and I in return! Seems like a great goal to desire! Hey? 😀👍

From reading these words of Jesus, I was reminded of another passage wherein the Lord God himself spoke to the Israelites these words found in I Samuel 2:30b: … but now the Lord saith, “Be it far from me…for them that honor me, I will honor…and they that despise me, I shall lightly esteem.”

Clearly He is saying he will honor and esteem us…you and I…if we will honor and esteem Him! Well, wow…HE is worthy of honor, and worthy of esteem….but what of us? Hmmm…not so sure about that…But yet it says, if You and I will honor him, we will be honored. Way cool!

So then I was led a step further in this discovery to Psalm 91:15 which gives A Promise to us of just what that “honor” toward you and I looks like: “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.

Who wouldn’t want that kind of response to our calling upon God? I sure would want him to answer me, to be with me, deliver me, and honor me!

I am hearing the Spirit of the Lord say, “So many desire me to honor them by answering their every cry, but they are not honoring my Son by believing in Him and following after Him, nor are they honoring me, their Creator, by respectfully obeying My Word or loving me with all their heart. I will honor those who honor me, yet lightly esteem you and your call-outs for help when I receive no honor from you.”

A strong blessing…being honored BY THE FATHER…awaits you and I if we will but grab hold of the amazement and the opportunity that lies before us! I want this promised honor! 😀 How about you?!  Let’s follow hard after Jesus Christ, honoring him, for then the Father will honor us. He will RESPOND WITH ESTEEM TOWARD US! This means happily and quickly our answers and solutions will happen as we call upon the Lord!

Will you “quickly respond” to Jesus, and follow where he is? Will you serve him with all your heart?

Seems to me, he is saying, if we will, then the Father will quickly respond to us. I love that reassurance!

Give this some pondering in the days ahead, okay?

Question seriously where you, yourself, are NOT “honoring” God : Could it be in your focus? In your time with Him, or in service to Him? In your words? In your relationships? With your money? Are you believing what you read in His Word, or do you walk in unbelief? Perhaps there is an area you need to work on in your honoring of him. The Holy  Spirit will reveal to you, that which pleases God and that which displeases him. I encourage you to be listening, and even writing down things He reveals that honor or dishonor him.

Let us set ourselves up to be honored!

To think, our destiny is actually put in our hands! We can, by our honoring the Son and the Father, determine how God will respond to us!

Will we believe this ?

That God will Honor Us?

Quicken Me Lord – A Word for This Hour

I was reading from Psalm 119 this week, and the cry of the heart: “Quicken Me” WAS HEARD as I read throughout this single chapter, with these particular words being “illuminated” by the Spirit of God.  It was a cry within my own heart, true… and yet, it was as if I could hear believers everywhere, across the land, crying out, maybe unspoken or even unidentified, these same “personal” words: “Quicken Me!”

So before we look at the scripture, let’s take a peek at the definition of Quicken:

  • Make or become faster or quicker: “she quickened her pace, desperate to escape”; “I felt my pulse quicken”.
  • Spring to life; become animated: “her interest quickened”; “he looked with quickening curiosity through the smoke”.
  • Spiritual meaning: Make me with living energy to pursue the way marked out by Thee. Revive me from the death of spiritual helplessness!

Being “worn down by the enemy”…an onslaught of fears, apathy, lethargy, despair, anxiety, and a wondering of “what’s the use?” seem to paralyze even the most committed Believers in Christ in this hour. Perhaps we have our focus on our own woeful situations, or that of others around us…be it  disasters, unrest of nations, weather’s destruction, financial hardships, relationship issues, the state of the church, or the crisis in one’s own country, the antichrist spirit pervading all, or the perceived advancement of the Kingdom of Darkness on every front.  We feel a bit helpless. Maybe even believe we are in a state of helplessness, corporately, where nothing we do matters at this point… YET deep inside we know, by the Holy Spirit, that with the Lord, the situations and circumstances are NOT hopeless!

I am here to declare: We are sometimes Helpless, but never Hopeless! Hopeless means “without hope” and it can also mean, “beyond ability to change”. We are neither!

As believers, we simply need to cry out to the Lord. He is the Almighty! Nothing is impossible! Even us, personally, to change!  To be quickened. To come “to life”! Hopeful – full of faith and power, energy and drive – Able to advance!

And what do we then cry?

“QUICKEN ME!”

When I think of this cry of heart, I also think of the dry bones, and Ezekiel going to the valley full of them. (Ezekiel 37).  “Can these dry bones live?” asked God.  “Only you know, Lord.” replied Ezekiel.  Yet then God said “Speak to the dry bones!” As Ezekiel then did this, and obeyed the voice of the Almighty, he used the words (vs 4-6): Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!”“Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.  I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” The Almighty had the ability to bring from lifelessness, a QUICKENING, and life came…bones, the sinews, muscles, tissue, skin, and this great army came TO LIFE.  Hmm… this is not a fairy tale.  This actually took place.  God brought back that which was completely lifeless. Verse 10 says, “breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.” So, too, HE IS ABLE to quicken you and I.  Isn’t He?

I venture to say, just as the bones came to life one man at a time, yet corporately the whole army stood on their feet together, so too, will be the QUICKENING that we Believers in Christ cry out for in this hour.

What is our part? And what is God’s part? to BE QUICKENED in our spirit, soul, and body?

Let’s talk about that.  All I speak of will come from David, the Psalmist, recorded in Psalm 119. Feel free to grab your own bible to mark these verses, as we go along. I used the KJV.

First let’s look at Psalm 119: 25, 86-88

25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust:

Quicken thou me according to thy word.

86 All thy commandments are faithful:

they persecute me wrongfully;

Help thou me.

87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness;

so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

89 Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

From the underlined phrases, you will note that David, in this psalm, was declaring WHY he, himself, needed to be quickened.  It appears he was being persecuted, for some reason… a wrongful reason, and his soul (mind-will-emotions) were exhausted, and that this oppression from all that was going on had almost consumed him.  In short, his mental and physical health, his vitality, was almost exhausted to the state of dying! His suffering is leading him to feeling quite helpless. Yet he is knowing within himself that he has not parted from the Lord, nor deserved this treatment, though there has been persecution and torment of his soul.

No wonder he prayed QUICKEN ME!

Along with his prayer to be quickened, he is declaring a few things.  First he says that all God’s commands are faithful…meaning they can be depended upon.  Then he says that, though persecuted and nearly consumed, He KEPT the precepts of God. In other words, he was obedient to all he knew to be God’s will.  He goes on to say that WHEN he IS “quickened” (Indeed, he was praying in faith), he will keep the testimony of God’s mouth.  In other words, he will continue to follow hard after the Lord when he is energized.  And his final declaration is: FOREVER the Lord’s Word is settled in heaven… implying that it is his only remaining “constant”, his firm foundation, and that forever he will follow it, no matter what!

So, when he pleads with God, QUICKEN ME… he acknowledges HIS WORD, and its ability to indeed quicken him. Verse 25’s “according to thy word” indicates this is his understanding.

Again, he pleads with God, QUICKEN ME, and we notice in verse 88…he acknowledges the Lord’s LOVING KINDNESS.

I believe this indeed a key to being quickened, because it is necessary to BELIEVE IN our Lord’s LOVING KINDNESS, in order to not be discouraged or downtrodden ourselves, as His Judgments come upon the wicked; or we view the reapings of unrepentant sinners; see the enemy about us robbing, killing, and destroying; or even deal with our own sin-consciousness due to our own erring from The Truth.  Remember David also spoke the words of Psalm 27:13, which read: I would have fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”

David knew that God was full of goodness and loving kindness… or else he would have fainted—GIVEN UP! But he didn’t! and neither should we!  Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He remains a good and loving and kind God, and WILL RESPOND to our cry: Quicken Me!

From this set of verses alone we can see that our part is to believe and adhere to THE WORD, and to believe in God’s goodness and loving kindness.  So what can we then KNOW is God’s Part: THE QUICKENING!  ASK and RECEIVE BY FAITH – YOUR OWN QUICKENING!

Sometimes we have to realize we are either asleep, or nearly dead, without energy, or drive (I’m talking spiritually here) before we can even realize we need to ask to be quickened. Right?   And, as a rule, almost always to GET HELP, first one must recognize their need for it, and then ask for it.  So be thinking of your own personal self, as you continue to read, for it may be God is meeting a need you don’t even know yet, that you have (smile).  The need to be quickened, yourself…

SO, NOW, while still in Psalm 119… let’s look at other scriptures that cry out: QUICKEN ME!

Psalm 119:40 says,

“Behold, I have longed after your precepts: Quicken me in your righteousness.”

Here we see again, that David longs after God’s ways… and this time he pleads the Lord’s righteousness.

We therefore, know, that David is acknowledging that it is not something he is going to earn or deserve.  Just as our salvation was a gift – and the Lord’s righteousness given to us at time of conversion… any “quickening” that will take place, will also be because of the Lord’s righteousness, and not our own.

Well, so far we are in! (smile)  We can ask, Quicken Me! …whilst believing in God’s loving kindness and in his righteousness. Let’s focus on our Lord, as we pray.  Not on our need, but on his ability.  We must acknowledge both, actually… but faith IS FAITH when who God is, becomes BIGGER in the eyes of our heart than the thing we are praying about.

Now let’s look at yet another verse in Psalm 119, which cries out: QUICKEN ME!

Psalm 119:37

“Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.”

We definitely have an “our part” mentioned in this verse: turn our eyes away from beholding vanity!

The words “in thy way” make it perfectly clear that it is NOT God’s way for our eyes to be beholding vanity.  Now what does this mean for you and I?

Barnes Notes on the Bible describes vanity as:

Vain things are wicked things; things which would be likely to lead you and I astray from what is real and true. Make my eyes to pass rapidly from such objects, that I may not look at them, may not contemplate them, may not dwell upon them. There is danger in looking on sin steadily; in surveying its features; in returning to contemplate it. An ugly object loses much of its deformity when we look often upon it; and this is a benevolent law, lest we should be miserable when we are under a necessity of looking on it. Sin follows this general law, and is to be avoided altogether, even in its contemplation, if we would be safe. A man should be thankful in this world that he has eyelids; and as he can close his eyes, so he should often do it.

When I personally read this, conviction comes by the Spirit, that vanity includes all other things I trust in other than God: pleasures, riches, idols, human power, jobs, even people. And certainly this includes anything that activates covetousness in me: a wanting after something I do not have.  When our wants rob our haves from being enjoyed, we are beholding vanity.

Thus far we can conclude, then, that a way to be quickened spiritually is to turn our eyes away from vanity… and instead, focus anew upon our Lord: his word, his loving kindness, his righteousness, and his way.

Now we see another cry to Quicken Me, in Psalm 119:107

“I am afflicted very much: Quicken me, O LORD, according to your word.”

Once again, why the need to be quickened is addressed. David is suffering! He is in acknowledging his need. He IS afflicted. It does not infer this is physical as much as emotional suffering.  A tormenting is going on within him due to his feeling spiritually helpless amidst others oppressing him! Just because a torment is not in the physical realm, as in sickness or disease, does not mean it is not intense suffering!  I personally was afflicted during a time in my life with spiritual verbal abuse, and it affected my physical health. I was indeed to the point of despair. I remember well that I would  cry within, with “unspoken” words, what the Psalmist David speaks out loud in expression.

I am here to speak it to you, my brother or sister. GOD KNOWS YOU NEED TO BE QUICKENED…and yes, right now!  SO ASK HIM!  CRY OUT “QUICKEN ME”!!!  He will hear you, and He will answer.

You can be just like David, who, in Psalm 119:149, cried:

“Hear my voice according to your loving kindness: O LORD, quicken me according to your judgment.”

David appeals first to God’s loving kindness, right? Yet he goes on to plead, according to His judgment, as well.

David is essentially saying to God, “Revive my heart according to those principles of justice, founded on your own nature, and revealed in your law, which specially sets forth that mercy is to given to the humble, as well as, justice given to the wicked.”

David acknowledges that God is just – he sees and hears all – he knows hearts, hears tongues, weighs motives, and His judgments are pure and right. He is fully aware of those who are turning toward him, versus those who are turning away from him.  As long as you are in the posture of turning toward God, you can cry out QUICKEN ME!  That’s our simple part.  Then God does the doing of the quickening….bringing us to life! (smile)

We know this is how David is thinking, because once again, he appeals to God’s ability to show mercies to those who come toward Him, and to bring judgments against those whose posture is away from Him. This is his judgment. He sees all sides. Before he brings then his judgments.

Let’s now look at Psalm 119:156

Great are your tender mercies, O LORD: Quicken me according to your judgments.

Here, he appeals to tender mercies…not just the loving kindness.  What is the difference? This appeal for tender mercies is revealing that David walks in the reverential fear of the Lord.  Mercies are extended toward “the undeserved”. Mercy is, after all, defined as: Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm. David adds this, for within he may hear The Accuser tell him he is really not deserving of God quickening him, so in light of this, still humble before God, he is pleading “mercy”…saying “Quicken me… even if it is purest mercy…which I know it is, deep down.”  An awareness of our deserving punishment is simply humility, i.e. agreeing with God and how he might look at our sin. Yet still “according to your judgments” infers that God is also aware of David’s good heart toward him, and desire to please, and the keeping of His Commands that he does do, according to the love of God that is within him.

Okay, my friend… I think us looking at the couple verses prior to that mercies plea, may help us all fully see, that we can cry out: QUICKEN ME!

Psalm 119:154-155

Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word. Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

If we are crying out TO GOD, can we not reason together that God will plead our cause and bring us deliverance?  Clearly as The Word says, Salvation is far from the wicked, but listen… you wouldn’t be crying out to God, or desiring to live according to His Word, if you were “the wicked”.  You may have stumbled, surely… but then Jesus, your advocate, will plead your case, and rest assured God will quicken you, in response to your asking.

David’s last plea for quickening comes in Verse 159:

“Consider how I love your precepts: Quicken me, O LORD, according to your loving kindness.”

Let’s pause a moment. This “quickening” prayer occurs here in this same chapter now for the ninth time, showing a deep sense of frailty on David’s part. He is longing for God, pleading with him to step in and strengthen him.

This time he is pleading: “Please, consider how I love your precepts.”

I looked up the word “precept” and it means “a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought.”  So, in modern words, David is saying to the Lord:  “I love for you to tell me how I am to act and what I am to think!  I am not rebellious toward your ruling and reigning over me!  I want you to give me sovereign rule.  I love your precepts! Please don’t categorize me with those who are in rebellion toward you. I am not!”

Conclusion:

In one chapter, Psalm 119, we discover David’s crying out “QUICKEN ME”.

And you, as a believer, are invited to cry out right now, today, this same prayer to the Lord: “QUICKEN ME!”

God wants you to, so He may answer.

He is ready to have all of us, in his army, have our “dry bones LIVE”.  He is desiring for us to TURN TOWARD HIM with a cry in our heart… even though exhausted and afflicted, discouraged, or feeling pretty helpless… Just a cry! (some of you may not even have enough life in yourself to express anything but an unspoken cry).  It is enough…just plead within then: QUICKEN ME, LORD.

HE WILL HEAR.

Just as the psalmist begs for God’s reviving, quickening grace…. Let us!  We need it Church! If you don’t need quickening, personally… then cry out for your brothers and sisters, His Church, that THEY BE QUICKENED!

I am personally crying out. I admit it. I am crying out for the Church too, to be quickened. This is why I write this, as a scribe… for the Lord. He is telling me what to speak in writing, with these articles of late. He is wanting those in His Army to activate, everywhere, who have a desire to…whatever your gift or calling, or job or talent, or circumstance or bondage. GOD CAN QUICKEN YOU!

But He wants you to cry out and ask!

QUICKEN ME!

Not sure how to ask?  I cut/paste…so let’s just pray the words of David, together, shall we?  Then we know that we are praying in the will of God, right?

Quicken thou me according to thy word. Quicken me after thy loving kindness.  Quicken me in your righteousness. Quicken thou me in thy way. Quicken me, O LORD, according to your word. Quicken me, O LORD, according to your loving kindness. O LORD, Quicken me according to your judgment. Quicken me according to thy word. Quicken me according to your judgments. Quicken me, O LORD, according to your loving kindness.

–          I will continue in the longing for and loving your precepts, keeping them…

–          I will turn away my eyes from beholding vanity, renewing my focus on you!

–          Plead my cause, and deliver me, for great are your tender mercies.

Your loving kindness is toward me

I BELIEVE YOU HEAR – AS I MAKE MY PLEA:

QUICKEN ME!

NOTE: This is a reblog of a post written under my maiden name Elizabeth Norland, November 1, 2012, for as Habakkuk 2:2-3 mentions, sometimes we write things down by the Holy Spirit that await an appointed time, which my friends, is NOW, at least for me! Maybe for you. So act on this word. Please. And see, together with me, what God will do!! Amen?!

Light Exposes… So Let It

Going to share what I just received from the Lord, as I sit in my recliner, looking out across the room, seeing my window. If you have a big enough screen you can see that the top part looks crystal clear as I see out, everything looks normal….but where the light is shining, I see a mess of fingerprints, dirt, droppings, seeds, webs, etc… why? Because “the Light” EXPOSES what IS there, but maybe not seen, without it. Thinking of Psalm 119:130 “The unfolding of your words gives light” , and how the Bible exposes those areas that “exist” in our lives, that need to be cleaned, but that we haven’t noticed before. In ignoring them, we may appear to others as “normal” but to God, in need of a cleaning. 🤔Prayer: “Help us not to be afraid of The Word’s “Exposure” God, but rather, to EMBRACE it and receive your cleansing, so when The Light shines on us, we are not ashamed at our true condition.”IMG_2213

In His Name or Mine? My Agenda or His?

Interestingly, this is what Jesus said to me personally: “If I ask you to do something and then you do it, then it’s in My Name. If I don’t ask you to do something, and you do it, then it’s in your name.” Such a simple truth brings me great clarity..So I thought I’d share it with you all. For me, it will cause me to ponder before taking an action, for I desire to do those things which hold eternal value, i.e. are done in Jesus’ name. Now I hope to be able to discern the difference between obedience to his leading and religious activity done to gain his approval, but that’s actually done in my own name.

In light of this, I recollect years ago the Lord told me also, “Ask not, is your agenda mine….Ask, Is My Agenda yours?”  Simple, yet profound too. He desires to be changing the paradigm of His Children. Not just mine. Are we looking at the future in light of what God would like to accomplish through us For HIMSELF? Are we listening to hear his mandate? Are we obeying his instruction? …Or have we been short sighted and focused on what We could accomplish FOR God?  Is focus of our Christian walk on ourselves? Or is it on Him? What happened to being his ambassador…representing him? He desires obedience, not sacrifice.

What prompts your own actions? Is He leading? Are you following? …or have you been super frustrated trying to lead Him? Or desiring Him to act on “your behalf”, instead of the other way around?

To do some thing in His Name, means “On His Behalf”… authorized to represent Him and His Interest in a matter. Here is a little object lesson graphic I just created to reveal the difference between acting on our own versus being sent to act on the Lord’s behalf. It is a fictitious authorization letter I just penned, to get across the idea.. of being authorized by Him to do His Will…to act in His Name:

This is short and sweet, but please ponder these two revelations…

May God accomplish all His Will in His Children…in Jesus Name.

Amen.
