Lack of Knowledge is Destroying US

Ephesians 4:18-21 gives biblical insight into what we are seeing taking place in this hour:
…18being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus…”

Indeed, truth is found in Jesus Christ.. in fact, he himself IS the Word of God. He is the way…The truth…the life…and the only way to God. But are we, as a people, being destroyed for lack of knowledge? Knowledge of Him? His ways? His thoughts? He is himself The Christ, the Anointed One, who returns soon to reign over all the world. Why not obtain the knowledge of Him and His Ways now?

Read the verse of warning in this graphic…

Destroyed for Lack of Knowledge

Destroyed for Lack of Knowledge

Do we, the USA, a Christian Nation, dare follow the same pattern and lose our blessings from God?  Is this already happening? Have we rejected knowledge? Have we forgotten the laws of God? Has our glory now turned to shame? And Will He forget our children?

Surely, a house divided against itself cannot stand…and prayers are needed for this “divided” nation. Yet, not only our prayers, but the giving out of Truth. Lies are quickly dispelled when truth comes in, just as darkness leaves when a candle is lit. The more truth that is revealed, the more light we live in….the clearer we can “see” the truth for ourselves.

Many protestors, and I don’t just mean public ones…but ones on Facebook, or wagging their tongues in criticisms in the schools and workplaces, or even talking aloud to their own TVs in private, need to be given some of the Word of God in relation to what’s going on in our land. There is a need to be still now and listen. Some of you maturing believers realize knowing the Word really “simplifies”your life.. This doesn’t make you “simple” , as in simple-minded… On the contrary, it takes away confusions, and striving, and fears. It is wonderful to embrace the Will of God. It is true freedom, which everyone longs for, but is looking for in the wrong places. Confusion leaves! Doubts cease their intrusions! Fears lose their torment!  Peace comes! All…from knowledge of God…and embracing God’s ways and thoughts.

If you’re saying inside to yourself, ours is no longer a godly nation, it is a democracy, and the other people will tell us what’s what…let me tell you something: Christians FEAR NOT! Now is not the time to be timid in regard to “standing” in our faith…and also standing in our backing our government leaders as instructed in Romans 13:1-5. GOD MAKES HIS WILL VERY CLEAR…as you will see…and these verses apply to President Trump and all our elected officials:

Romans 13:1-5  All of you must obey those who rule over you. There are no authorities except the ones God has chosen. Those who now rule have been chosen by God. 2 So whoever opposes the authorities opposes leaders whom God has appointed. Those who do that will be judged. 3 If you do what is right, you won’t need to be afraid of your rulers. But watch out if you do what is wrong! You don’t want to be afraid of those in authority, do you? Then do what is right, and you will be praised. 4 The one in authority serves God for your good. But if you do wrong, watch out! Rulers don’t carry a sword for no reason at all. They serve God. And God is carrying out his anger through them. The ruler punishes anyone who does wrong. 5 You must obey the authorities. Then you will not be punished. You must also obey them because you know it is right.

There…is simplification…knowing God’s will in the matter, whether a Trump fan or not! …you trust God and obey your President. You don’t oppose him. You do right yourself, and you need not fear him or any decision he may or may not make.  Note, obey authorities, yes, policemen, and then you will not be punished…by man or directly by God’s discipline! Honor all your leaders at the local, state, and federal levels. Your vote was your choice. God saw it. Now leave it alone. There. Simplified. Whenever you want to judge or condemn or gossip about leadership, be silent, and pray. Prayer according to the Word activates the power of God, and He then steers the hearts of our leaders according to our pleadings. Or if you are particularly passionate about something, and it is in accordance with Gods word, then perhaps you are called to get personally involved in that area of politics, or your church, company, etc.  Protesting without a plan is not doing anything creative. It is very destructive.

Yes, this obedience requires faith in God. Yes, it requires knowing Jesus. And yes, you will need the Holy Spirit living within to instruct you in this hour. But all are available and ready to be received even this moment. Jesus is the gift that includes all others: wisdom, joy, peace, love, forgiveness, discernment, power, peace, freedom from addictions, healing of wounds, freedom to captives, etc.    Now, Just take him into your life as your Lord! It’s a wise choice. And you’ll never be the same again.

You see, the World, including the LGTB community with all its plans and protests and good-sounding words, doesn’t matter! The government, whether it makes a right or wrong choice, doesn’t matter!  Hollywood with all the “beautiful powerful people” doesn’t matter! All lives matter, not just black lives matter! And a women’s right is not more important than Gods right to his own creation! Evil always divides! Why do you think there are divorces, and church splits, and quarrels of many kinds? Believers, its us, and what we will do in this hour, that matters!! We rule and reign With Christ, even now, and it’s what WE DO that will dictate what God does with Our Country…because friends, the USA is His Country and He wants us to now stand up declaring IN GOD WE TRUST.

And isn’t this “standing up” to be done individually? As in letting people know in our words and deeds that we love Jesus and obey God? And in prayers? And in our own repentance? If God changes each one of us, then collectively we will become a greater light in this darkened country. Truth will be seen and heard. And love can break through the deceptions! Isn’t this better than fighting, bickering, protesting, etc? Let’s see what God says.

He declares in II Chronicles 7:14,  “If MY People, who are called by My Name (Christians that’s us! ), Will humble THEMSELVES, and PRAY, and SEEK My Face, and turn from THEIR wicked Ways, THEN will I hear from heaven, and WILL forgive their sins, and WILL HEAL their land.” BELIEVERS, NOT PROTESTORS, WILL DICTATE WHAT GOD WILL DO WITH THE USA! Believers, not unbelievers, will dictate what God will do As far as healing our land and its divisions.  And God’s power is great, and He is able to preserve the individuals who GIVE CHRIST THEIR LIVES, even if the lukewarm believers will be spewed out along with the evil ones who may be judged as that healing of our nation takes place. The word says not to fear if brought before magistrates on account of his name…he will give you the words and help that very hour!

Let’s just look at immigration for a moment…a very real divisive thing at present. There are way too many who are looking only at the surface of things…and if we look at portions of Europe and how Muslims have destroyed these countries’ culture and way of life, we will realize that prevention of troubles is a good thing. When immigrants are allowed in to USA, it is a choice for them, yet they must, before coming, embrace American law and American culture, and not carry out hidden agendas pressing upon us their sharia law and false religion.  There IS a spirit of anti-Christ loosed upon the world! It is pervasive and includes way more than just Muslims. Anyone who wants to be free of being told what to by God is part of this spirit that pervades societies worldwide. We must honor God and Christ who established the USA and gave us Our Land. It is NOT UNloving to keep immigrants out who pose a real threat.  We are not killing them! We are not destroying them. Wisdom and Love for our nation and its peoples simply dictates “protection!”. Those concerned about protection of the Muslim faith can make a choice to go over to the Muslim countries and love on them, embracing “their land’s rules and their faith”. And those immigrant applicants who desire to embrace the values and laws of our land can be properly vetted to do so. The Muslims here, who are your neighbors and friends, should be loved on in Jesus’ name, even while standing up for the Christian faith. The desire of God is that they be grafted into his family by faith in Jesus, and loving one another is essential for this to take place. They chose the USA, so they can live in a way as to embrace the law of the land, but if they can’t compromise with Americans because of “their faith” let them return to their own land.

Please pray, for the masses in our country are being deceived!! And the Bible declares that one thing that can destroy his people is Lack of Knowledge. It is absolutely LOVING what Trump desires to do! If you the head of a large family, and your wife and own children, natural or adopted, lived in your house, would you let a group of people into your own house, who desire to destroy you, and your women and children, raping or devaluing them if not killing them, and bent on destroying everything you worked for and your way of life? Destroying your right to serve the true God? Of course not! LOVE REQUIRES PROTECTION! Trump is being used in answer to Christian’s prayers across the land …the part of the Lord’s Prayer that Christ Jesus taught us to pray which declares, “Deliver us from Evil …for thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever and ever, Amen!”

But I hear you say, but what of love for “them”? and I respond, what of love for “God”? Do we desire to hand over our nation to His Enemy? To be a friend with the world is to be an enemy of God.  Satan reigns over false religions and The World, and these anti-Christ systems desire license to do evil. Whether it be The LGTB communities, abortion-rights activists, Hollywood, or just a society who no longer fears the Lord… do they not realize that if Muslims take over the land it could mean their distruction too! None of them have God-given wisdom…so they side with each other? Makes no sense for a gay man to hold a love sign for a Muslim to come in, when Islam wants that gay man dead, does it? No wisdom. Women’s libers who want to abort, do they not know Muslims would kill them for that sin? Neither fears God or they would be honoring him with their lives. Yet, I think that deep down all of society knows lawlessness is not the answer. It is preserving love and respect, and truth, that is important. In fact the love chapter of I Corinthians 13:6 declares that love “does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth.” Somehow that part of loves definition does not get repeated amidst all the love talk out in the world. With this definition of love, are even believers aware of the simplicity that gives to our decision making? If something is not of of his righteousness or his truth it is not “real love“. Love is of God. God is love. So he has the right to define it. And by his definition, love does not rejoice in unrighteousness. And love does rejoice with truth. So can you be saddened and outraged by the sin around you, and still be in God’s love? Yes! Can you be without joy when you see people lost in deception? Yes! Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Cry out to God and beg him for the deliverance of the nation, your communities, your family, your self. The poor in spirit know their “need” for God’s loving interventions.

And Believers don’t be afraid to stand.  In the Bible we read often that God intervened and the evil armies/nations destroyed one another, while those trusting God were delivered. I myself am going to ask God to protect us as a nation, yet that might not mean that we won’t have internal wars going on. I only know that one day we all….individually, and as a nation, give account to God who reigns supreme. Many have access to bibles to give them God’s will ..they just don’t desire to follow it or to know him. So sad, too, for God gives everyone love, acceptance, and value, as they do embrace him. He empowers the believer to do His Will, and gives righteousness, peace, and joy though his Holy Spirit that comes to abide within any true believer in Christ. He is slow to anger and abounding in love. Warnings come nonstop, for grace has been restraining his anger at those who are living in defiance against him. He’d rather draw sinners and those deceived presently to him, to SAVE THEM from their sin and his wrath to come upon the nations in the end. Get into reading and studying God’s Word….read it…come to Jesus and learn of him…and your peace will come when you come to abide in Jesus.

As the verse in the graphic says, what CAN “destroy us” is the Lack of Knowledge…knowledge from the word of God, and not only factual carnal knowledge.

USA, Let’s Pray for our leaders… not wag our tongues in judgment or ridicule…

Pray for truth to be realized and that the darkness of ignorance dissipates…

And be at peace, while the world shakes around you, God is giving the USA opportunity to be saved, under Christ’s name. I am confident that God is in control and will hear the prayers of His People, no matter what the masses who act in ignorance and under media control do. The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This kind of fear refers to our respect, awe, and submission to God because he has the power to destroy both body and soul. He is so great, he laughs as the heathen nations rage in defiance against him! We must not fear man, who can only destroy the body. Let’s get our focus on trusting a sovereign God and aligning our own individual lives up with His Word and His Will. Amen?!

Friends and family…the safest place to be…is in intimacy with The Lord. Here are a few favorite verses in a favorite Psalm of mine:

Psalm 91:14-16

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

My Part: set my love upon the Lord (not only affections but obedience and attitudes); know his name (in other words, who He is!) , call upon him!

His Part: I will deliver you, I will set you in high, I will be with you in trouble, I will deliver you and honor you, I will satisfy you with a long life, and show you my salvation.

We have the EASY PART 😀…. And God? Well, His promised responses are way awesome! What a divine exchange!! Each one of those who can do the “My Part”, can go into an unknown future KNOWING God will do “His Part.” No Fear! Just Trust! Amen?!

Prodigals, it is time to return...to your Father who has opened arms. Please…hear me…Reread this scripture I began this blog with… and choose you this day whom you desire to be like… those of this darkened world? or those who desire to belong to Jesus, who will soon be the supreme ruler over all the whole world? In confusion?  The truth is IN JESUS! Run please to him, for your future depends on it, and he will forgive and receive you, and everything he has and is becomes yours. How wonderful!

Google the lyrics of Joy To The World if you have a moment. Yes, the one we sing at Christmas! It begins, “Joy to the world. Let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room!”  The Holy Spirit has prompted me to be singing that song at the piano recently, all the verses…even after Christmas. Could he be declaring aloud “He’s Coming Again Soon!?” “He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove, the glories of his righteousness and wonders of his love!” Perhaps I am only one of many who are declaring it so from my lips during worship.

To close…I pray,

“God, please hear the cries of all your people…see into their hearts…know their thoughts…”

and yet I hear you suddenly reply back to me… “Let the people hear My Cries, see into My Heart, and know My Thoughts!”

And we reply humbly, yet excitedly…

“Yes Lord. We will come TO YOU And seek your face.”

Don’t Deny – Magnify!

Don’t Deny – Magnify!
As these words exploded within me, the Holy Spirit speaking within to my own spirit… I realized that this was a message, not only for me, but for believers in Christ Jesus throughout the earth.

My thoughts went immediately to the fact, that throughout the day, we are each given “opportunities”… one right after the other… to either pull back from confrontation and to silently ignore a prompting of the Holy Spirit to take a stand, or to become passionate about our faith in Christ, and to magnify His holy name in speaking of Him or giving thanks.salvation1164x460

I asked myself, and I now ask you: Which do I do??

Do I deny? Or do I magnify?… Christ, as Lord, and more specifically, My Lord.

Am I taking ownership of Christ, as He has of me?

Do I lift Him up to others, as He has lifted me up?

Am I full of contentment and thanks? or am I magnifying (enlarging by speaking of) the works of the Devil in my life and in the world.

What comes out of my mouth, and attitudes, and deeds?… Magnifying of Christ?

If you are a believer, those around you should not be made to “wonder” if you might be a believer in Christ, or just a good person!  And God forbid, should they perhaps think you are an unbeliever, when you’ve come to Christ. They should Know the One you are committed to… They should, beyond the shadow of a doubt, realize that you are HIS devoted, thankful, and committed follower.

There is to be a distinction between those who are Christ’s and those who are not. That distinction is our magnifying Jesus in our daily walk. And God himself will also make a distinction in these last days between those who are his and those who aren’t. I share a scripture at the end that says so!

I’ll make this short, and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart and in regard to your own individual circumstances, about this simple instruction: Don’t Deny … Magnify!

May You be given every grace to take your own individual stand FOR CHRIST in an AntiChrist World. You won’t regret it.

Don’t Deny – Magnify!

I scanned two scripture passages from my own bible, for I believe the WORD will encourage you to put these words I heard into practice, for you’ll see a great result mentioned in Psalm 34, verse 5: “They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed.”

Don't-Deny,-Magnify-Psalm-34

An awesome passage in Malachi 3:15-18 speaks of what God plans to do for those who fear Him and esteem His Name in these last days. Hang onto God’s promise to the obedient and faithful. Take a look:

Malachi

Romans 1:16  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes…”

Jesus says, “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”  “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33

So, to close… If you are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ… and want others to believe… and if you want Jesus to confess you before the Father…and not to deny you..

DON’T DENY- MAGNIFY!

Reward and Recompense

Reading in my bible today, I noted the passage of Psalm 18:19-24

open field

David praises God in verse 19 that he had been brought into a large, spacious place…(as in an open field, away from the many distresses that had been a part of his life)…and was delivered by God…and He knew it was because God delighted in him.

Then David goes on to declare that the Lord REWARDED him according to his (David’s) righteousness, and according to the cleanness of his hands(David’s), the Lord had recompensed him.

The meaning of recompense is “to pay or give compensation for”, and reward means “the pay or compensation we do receive” in return for something.

So, how does THE LORD INTERPRET our righteousness and the cleanness of our hands in HIS EYESIGHT?

We need to answer this question, for He recompenses and rewards His children according to His Interpretation of our righteousness and cleanness of our hands. David clarifies “in His eyesight” in verse 24 to mean from God’s perspective not his own.

Because we have three very clear verses sandwiched in-between verse 20 and verse 24, which are parallel verses (nearly identical), we may assume that THE ANSWER LIES NESTLED BETWEEN THESE VERSES… and it does!

SO…let’s ponder verses 21-23 of Psalm 18…

David actually lists the righteousness and cleanness of hands that God rewarded and paid him back for!

David declares 6 things he did in lifestyle…that caused the Lord to delight in him…and that brought to him the reward and recompense earned. These are considered his righteousness and cleanness of hands:

Verse 21a  “I kept the ways of the Lord”

  • In other words, David followed the Lord’s instructions-commands-leading-purposes and resolved to be obedient to what he knew to be right…or God’s way. He resolved not to be disobedient or to choose his way over the Lord’s ways.

Verse 21b  “I have not wickedly departed from my God”

  • In other words, there was no rebellion in his heart or actions. He didn’t run away FROM God…instead He ran TO God… in each situation that would present itself.
  • He did not choose to go his own way, or the ways of the heathen people around him, or the way of another god, or the way of Satan.
  • Do you notice the word “my” God? He stood on the fact that God was his…and he was God’s…and he knew it would be “wicked” to go away from “his” God. David “took ownership” of His Faith… he did not stand in denial of his faith.

Verse 22a  “God’s judgments were before me”

  • In other words, He chose to find out and to know what God said about any particular matter.  He chose to think on God’s viewpoint…and see from his vantage point. He let the Word of God lead him into right living, and away from evil ways, for he was able to discern good from evil with God’s judgments before him.
  • The ways of his contemporaries, the ways of man, were not his focus.  God’s judgments were the focus—of his heart…with thought and intent to follow them.

Verse 22b  “I did not put away his statutes from me.

  • In other words, he clung to God’s statutes (guiding laws) rather than holding a blatant disregard for what God set forth in his word as his moral law, governmental law, spiritual law, etc…something many men and women do today. To “put away” his statutes, a person is consciously choosing to be unrighteous…plain and simple.  Righteousness is walking in these statutes… not putting them away (or aside) to go your own way…in a non-caring attitude of disrespect for God. This is indeed unrighteousness and uncleanness of your hands. An example among modern Christians would be a couple’s choice to be living together and sleeping together with someone not a spouse (i.e. outside of marriage), for fornication is indeed against God’s statutes.  The couple would be “putting away” His statutes to do what they pleased, making the choice to conform to the norm of society, or simply their own desires, rather than God’s statutes.  They will not be rewarded as David was… by coming into a spacious place and delivered from distresses. But they could be… if they would simply change their minds and actions, and resolve not to “put away” His statutes, but to heed them. Note, It is always possible to “take back what we put away” of God’s statutes, for God always responds to those repentant. His grace and mercies plentiful.

Verse 23a  “I kept also upright before Him”

  • In other words, David kept himself “in good conscience” before the Lord.  His actions and attitudes and appetites and priorities were such that he could stand before the Lord tall and strong, upright in the sense that He was true to his heart. His heart and mind were in agreement, and this then meant He was in right standing with his Lord.
  • As we learn truth, we are responsible for the truth we come to know in Christ…and God himself knows what we have come to know, and therefore the Holy Spirit within us would bring conviction if we were not able to stand upright.

Verse 23b “I kept myself from my iniquity”

  • In other words, he took “ownership” of his own bent toward evil… his own iniquity. He calls it “my” iniquity.  Again he takes ownership…this time not of his God but of his bent toward sin. He knew his own weak areas, areas he would usually stumble into sin, due to an inclination to go the wrong way, in that area… and He chose to keep himself from those temptations and thus kept himself from willful sin. An example: David knew he should not to touch the Lord’s anointed, but he was mercilessly chased and vexed and hounded by King Saul. Yet, he kept himself from his own inner desire for revenge and for solution to this evil man and his armies chasing him all over, by sparing Saul when He could have taken him out (i.e. he could have killed him, but he kept himself from his own iniquity).

We will do well to consider these guidelines of truth and take them to heart, patterning our own Christian walk after their truth. If you and I can get them “rooted down deep” within our own hearts, we too may be rewarded and recompensed by the Lord himself for following likewise.

Isn’t it your desire, to be given what David received as well?…to enjoy the same reward of a spacious abiding place and deliverance mentioned in Verse 19…a place of peace and rest and deliverance from outside distresses? and God “delighting in us?”

So… review these… and SEE how these six areas mentioned by David in Psalm 18 might cause you, yourself, to become strengthened in the days ahead, leading you toward a similar reward and recompense of your Lord.

I shall do the same…for we all… each and every one of us has areas of our life that need to align with God’s Word and Ways.  The first thing to suggest is that we come to KNOW His Ways or His Statutes or His Judgments…for how can we identify our iniquities or departures from these unless we know HIM and we know HIS WORD.

Therefore, drawing near to your God, being in His Presence, and enjoying being taught by the Spirit of God from the Holy Scriptures, is the best way to start your own “Rewards Program”. (smile) By the way, you must be a Believer in Christ to be enrolled in God’s rewards program. We know righteousness is a gift of God given in our salvation, so we don’t have to Be Righteous before being a believer… we are Made Righteous when we believe.

However, we often as believers do forget that once we are given this gift of right standing with God through Christ, we are to walk in it… aligning ourselves with God and His Ways… Being righteous and clean in all these areas…to show the world that we do belong to Him…and to receive our rewards in “following” our God by faith.

Our righteousness does not SAVE us…it REWARDS us!

But where are now the many believers who will enroll in the Lord’s “Rewards Program”?  The more we spend of ourselves toward God (in following these six guidelines), the more we receive back from our Lord (in terms of peace and rest from our enemies).

Closing Verse: Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He IS God, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

God bless us all with “His Delighting In Us”….

Oh, what a joy it is… and will be… to See and Experience Our Reward!

In this life… yes…

and in the life to come.

Psalms Chapter 18 (A Psalm of David)

19He brought me forth also into a spacious place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. 20The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. 21For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. 22For all his judgments [were] before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me. 23I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity. 24Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

Faith and Unbelief – Humility and Pride

FAITH – Deeply believes God will do what HE SAYS – and it subsequently produces WORDS of agreement, and ACTIONS of obedience.

FAITH – Need not understand.  It doesn’t look at the natural. But believes GOD WILL do and GOD CAN do what GOD SAYS He will do.

Luke 1:37 says, For nothing is impossible with God.”

It’s one thing to Believe IN HIM, it is an entirely different matter to BELIEVE HIM.  This is where our faith is tested.  Do I take Him at His Word? Do I truly HEAR Him? Have I “REALIZED” His Promises?

PRIDE and FAITH are Opposites, just as UNBELIEF AND FAITH are Opposites.

UNBELIEF is really masked, or camouflaged PRIDE.

Let’s consider the 12 spies that returned from beyond the Jordan to report back to Moses and Aaron and the Children of Israel in the wilderness. The account is in Numbers 13:26-33.

10 of these spies  – we, in modern day, would consider “humble” – for they said “we are as grasshoppers”, and 2 of these spies – we’d consider “proud and arrogant” for they said “we can take the land!”

YET IN REALITY:

10 were PRIDEFUL – “relying on their own strength”  – their report was given according to a human perspective, not according to God’s perspective.

2 were HUMBLE – “relying on God’s ability to do as He said, and relying on God’s strength to make it all possible”.

DO YOU SEE, MY FRIENDS, HOW PRIDE LOOKS DECEIVING?  How it is a false humility? and “appearing humble” is in actuality UNBELIEF disguised?

True humility BELIEVES who God is and understands who we are. We maintain hope, and strength….and are more than conquerors!  For we know it all has to do WITH GOD, and NOT US, except to step out in FAITH that He will do as he says. We have to do OUR PART to do that stepping into what He says to.

NOT YET CONVINCED? Let’s look at the 10 spies report: Numbers 13: 26-33

“It truly flows with milk and honey” – what God had promised about the land was indeed true.  These men acknowledge it was as He SAID, and an awesome land of milk and honey, and they revealed its wonderful fruits.

YET THEN THEY SAY THIS:

“Nevertheless”

“nevertheless” means “despite all of that.”

At that moment, Moses, and every man of faith in Israel should have cried out and said, “Nevertheless nothing! How can one say, ‘We went to the land, found it good, and God’s promise true,’ and then say, ‘Despite all this . . .’?”

The 10 spies continued:

Despite God’s words and His promise….” the people there are strong.”

We will disregard God’s faithful promise… “for their cities are large and fortified .”

and Who cares about God’s Words…we saw with our own eyes the descendants of Anak, a tribe of large men! “

and despite God’s Ability…. “the land is taken up! the Amalekites dwell there, and  the Amorites . . . and so do the Canaanites.  “There is no room for us.”

Their UNBELIEF was revealed in their WORD: “Nevertheless”…and JUSTIFIED in their WORDS spoken thereafter…

It is hard to imagine a report more unbelieving and unfaithful to God than this; a report that recognizes the faithfulness of God’s promise, the truth of His word, and yet says, “Despite all that . . .”

UNBELIEF IS NOT HUMILITY.  FOR IT DOES NOT GIVE GOD HIS PROPER PLACE OF HONOR AND RESPECT. FAITH IS RESPECT FOR WHAT GOD HAS SAID.

So, let’s look at Caleb’s bold report of Numbers 13, and Joshua’s concurring:

“Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

Then Caleb quieted the people: Caleb – blessed forever! – commanded the people to immediately (at once) trust and obey God and to take the land, because God had made them able.  It took great courage for Caleb and Joshua to stand against the tide of unbelief, of doubt and “despite all that“ attitude.

Caleb, for sure, had the spirit of Romans 3:4: Let God be true but every man a liar. Numbers 14:24 describes Caleb AND HOW GOD LOOKED UPON HIM:  “But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.

FAITH is really HUMILITY. We believe and follow another, ONE, greater than ourselves.

BUT, the majority sometimes rules, even if they are all “dead wrong”, for the other 10 men who had gone up with him countered this rally for faith to rise up, with their own declarations of UNBELIEF:

We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”

Unbelief often presents itself as being “factual” or “practical” or “down to earth.” Yet, the most factual, practical, and down to earth thing we can to is trust the word of the living God. Their unbelief was not according to the facts, but despite the facts.  They left out their BIGGEST FACT – that what God SAYS is greater than Man’s abilities or inabilities.

WHEN WE DO NOT REPLACE OUR WEAKNESS, WITH HIS STRENGTH… WE ARE PARALYZED…UNABLE … TO DO WHAT GOD TELLS US TO DO.

God’s ABILITY must be taken into consideration!

FAITH IS HUMILITY.  UNBELIEF IS PRIDE.

Significantly, we see that two spies, Joshua and Caleb, could see the exact same sights – the same grapes, the same men, the same land, the same cities – and they come away singing in faith and encouraging the others to BELIEF not only could God do it, but that THEY COULD DO IT through faith and obedience…by going forward.

While at the same time, the others were filled with a sense of certain doom.

Ultimately, faith or unbelief does not spring from circumstances or environment, but from our hearts, which God must change.

To confirm scripture with scripture, let’s look at Jeremiah 17:5-7, and think of what was just shared:

This is what the Lord says:

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who draws strength from mere flesh
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
That person will be like a bush in the wastelands;
they will not see prosperity when it comes.
They will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.

Their UNBELIEF indeed brought about their desert experience.  It led them away from prosperity when it was presented.  It took them into a salt land where death is imminent.

Now let’s skip to the New Testament, and talk of Jesus Christ.

What GRIEVED Jesus the most, as he walked this earth?  Was it not UNBELIEF?  Can you not hear his words, “O, Ye of Little Faith!” as he went along life’s way?

Now, tell me, what PLEASED Jesus the most, as he walked this earth? Was it not BELIEF? Can you not hear his words joyously declared to the centurion, “ I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”  or the words to the blind men “Do you believe I am able to do this? and then “According to your faith, it will be done for you.”

God does not respond to our need. He responds to OUR FAITH.  Jesus responded to FAITH.

My prayer for you, my reader, is that FAITH WILL ARISE WITHIN YOU. AND YOU WILL KNOW GOD’S ABILITY, AMIDST YOUR PERCEIVED INABILITY against what the Enemy may be doing in your household, neighborhood, workplace, or your country.  WE HAVE GOD!

There is no inability in God.  You can’t go wrong if you will trust Him and follow Him when He gives you his leading to advance forward in obedience to something He has told you.  DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE “INTIMIDATED” BY UNBELIEVERS…and Un-BELIEVE-ers. The latter can be God’s own people, if they are not actively believing God, and walking in their faith. Stand your ground, Humble yourself before God and walk in FAITH and HUMILITY BEFORE GOD. (Even if the World around you labels you as Proud!)

I Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

Your Christian Walk Likened to a Commuter Train

This YouTube presentation, which I created as it was given me from the Lord, will give you a change of perspective in how to look at your own christian walk. It is likened to a commuter train in so many respects. I admit the presentation is not “exciting” (for it was my first attempt at a youtube), yet I still encourage you to view it in its entirety, for each page is full of revelation that could only be given in “modern day”and “for such a time as this”.  Indeed, the change of perspective it will bring, will give YOU strength in the days ahead in your own Christian walk. Of this, I am confident.

Now, May God grant YOU His Encouragement as You View This:

If this presentation has ministered truth to your own heart, then I ask that you will help me share its message by forwarding this post on to others via email, or embedding the presentation itself into your own facebook page or blog.

Thank you,

Elizabeth Norland, Handmaiden Music

How to Listen and Speak

I was given these keys to effectively communicate directly from the Lord. At the time, I was believing God was telling me how to communicate with a future husband during our dating process, yet now I realize that this instruction can apply to anyone who desires to communicate in a way pleasing to the Lord: Husband/Wife, Parent/Child, Employer/Employee, Friend/Friend, etc. AND so, I want to share these keys with you. I didn’t make this list up…though it is original.  I heard these words spoken to me within my spirit, from the Holy Spirit, and I simply wrote them down as a scribe.

LISTEN – without OFFENSE

LISTEN – without DEFENSE

LISTEN – without SUSPICION

LISTEN – In Christ’s LOVE for THAT PERSON , and aware of His Love for YOU

LISTEN – without speaking until the Lord says speak, or type (if communicating via texts or emails)

SPEAK – when you are not REACTING

SPEAK – kindly and gently

SPEAK – as the Spirit of God gives you the reply of the tongue or pen

SPEAK – edification, comfort, faith…NOT attack or judgment

SPEAK – faith not fear

SPEAK – the language of hope
