The Only Way to God – How to Be Saved

Hearing You – Empowering You – Blessing You – Protecting You – Loving You – Talking With You – Leading You into An Abundant Life!

So open your ears to hear the Gospel – which means GOOD NEWS!

It was the “sacrifice”, in the Old Testament, that had to be “pure and spotless”… NOT THE PERSON having their sin atoned for.  This is because the BLOOD washed away SIN for that person. A divine exchange took place. God was satisfied, and the person forgiven, because of the blood shed.

This reveals how Christ, the Lamb of God, would wash man’s sin away when He went to the Cross.

The GOOD NEWS is that Christ came to save sinners… not to condemn them… but to FREE them from SIN and DEATH.

John 3:17  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

You need not become perfect to come to God. You need realize you are sinFULL and that it is in coming TO CHRIST that sin can LEAVE your life.

In modern day, we run something known as “a paternity test” to determine “the father” of a child…for the blood, comes from the Father…and runs through that child’s veins whom he has fathered.

This modern day “revelation” can help us to actually understand why the blood of one man could save the world.

Jesus was the one man in history who was “VIRGIN born” and Christ himself testifies that His Father was GOD.

Jesus is a pretty high authority, wouldn’t you say? And He testifies of himself as the literal SON, of God, throughout his life.

However God is an even higher authority, and He himself declared:

“This IS my beloved SON, in whom I am well pleased.”

Jesus’s Blood is of GOD…HIS FATHER… It is therefore ROYAL BLOOD…the blood OF GOD.

COULD hold the power to save the world from the wrath of God. No “man”but God’s SON could die TO SAVE,

so that we might partake of the love and grace of God, and be free from the law of sin and death.

God loved you enough to send His Son to take your place… to become sin for you and I…

that you and I could become The Righteousness of God IN CHRIST.

Jesus – The Way To God

“If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,

Praying DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Joining a church DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Living a good life DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Being baptized in water DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Partaking of the sacraments DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

Committing your life to God DOES NOT cleanse from sin.

We cannot leave His SON, Jesus, out of it!

“For THE WAGES OF SIN is death; but the GIFT OF GOD IS eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

Sin pays singular wages: DEATH! Christ died for our sins “according to the Scriptures” (1st Corinthians 15:3).

It took the DEATH OF JESUS, and the shedding of HIS BLOOD,

to pay sin’s debt, and bring REDEMPTION FROM SIN.

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead,

and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us,

We read in 1st Peter 1:18,19:

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; BUT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

And again in 1st John 1:7 we read:

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

The only way to have your sins forgiven, and your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, is by the precious blood of Christ Jesus.

How do you receive God’s gift of eternal life?

Realize that you are a guilty of being a sinner and are under the condemnation of God’s Law (Romans 3:19).  You and I deserve to be punished for our sins.  We are guilty and without excuse.

Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

And Romans 6:23 says, “the wages of sin = death”…

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive your sins,

Who will wash them away with His precious blood.

That’s it.  It is one’s faith in the Savior, because of the redeeming power of Christ’s literal blood, that saves a person.  No self-righteous works are required to be saved.  In fact, adding anything to faith alone in Christ is no faith at all.  Either we trust Christ 100%, or we don’t trust Him at all.  Trusting anything other than Jesus means that you aren’t solely relying upon His work of redemption to save you.

Please don’t misunderstand me, you may have all sorts of questions, doubts, worries and fears, and that’s ok, just so long as you place what faith you DO have in the Savior.  Even if you only have as much faith as a small seed, that’s ok, just so long as it’s enough faith for you to believe on Jesus Christ to save your soul from sin and Hell (Romans 10:13).  God does not require a degree of faith to be saved; no, rather, He just requires faith.  Optimism is not faith.  Saying you believe is not faith.  Hoping for the best is not faith.  Saving Faith is when you come as a sinner in need of a Savior, and you actively place your trust upon Jesus Christ to forgive and save you,

because of the blood that He shed for you.

Romans 3:23-28

23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKETH AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL.” —Leviticus 17:11

“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” —Hebrews 9:12

It’s The Blood Of Jesus!

IF YOU DIDN’T SEE THIS YET, please view it… Believers, especially you!

Pray this prayer out loud in faith, believing in what you speak, as talking to God. The Spirit of God and Christ, the Holy Spirit, will come to live WITHIN YOU and your new life will begin. Your old life will pass away, as it is, for you will become a new creation in Christ Jesus.  The LORD will transform you by the renewing of your mind, with the Word of God, as you choose to obey your LORD and Savior.

Father God,

I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life or earn it by my works.

My sin has separated me from you, and only Jesus Christ’s blood can reconcile me to you.

Yet, Father, I repent of all my sin and I choose to turn away from sin, and desire to be free of sin’s consequences.

I believe your son Jesus Christ died, shedding his blood, washing away all the guilt and condemnation and penalty for my sin…for ALL my sin… and that he rose from the grave to make me a new creation, and to prepare me to dwell in your presence forever.

Please Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me.

I am now placing my trust in you alone for my salvation.

I accept your free gift of eternal life.

I will live my life for you, and make you my Lord, giving you the rule over my life.

Enable us to be in close relationship and give me your wisdom for making my life’s decisions.

Fill me, also, with The Holy Spirit…that He may empower me to live like Christ, and to communicate with you, God, and to equip me to share my faith with others.

And, yes, I look forward to talking with you, and listening to you speak to me from Your Word.  I know you will be closer than a best friend or a brother.

I will confess you, Jesus, before everyone I know, so that they, too, may come to know you.

I believe NOW I am free to be who you have created me to be!

Thank you that now I am saved, and that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit will abide in me and with me forever and ever, even after I die.

Yes, that eternal life is mine! Fellowship with you God, my Father, and with Jesus Christ, my brother!  And Heaven awaits!

And now I can call myself a Believer!  A Christian!

I’m so thankful!

I love you so much, Lord!  Thank you for saving me!

YOU are the greatest gift I have ever received.

In Jesus’ Name,

Learning What NOT To Do as a Nation Under God

Nation under God?

The USA has been responding to God as the nation of ancient Israel did, right before their Enemies were made to Rule Over Them. God has not changed, and has given to us an incredible warning passage, Psalm 106, that holds key observations and similarities between our nations. It reveals their actions and his responses, so we can literally learn from ISRAEL, what NOT to do.

The first verse assures us that God’s mercy is always and forever available to us, for He is a Good God. Oh how wonderful it would be, if we would each respond as God desires us to, so we can collectively keep ourselves as a Nation Under God, Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for all.  Clearly we need to turn toward Him to stay in our blessed state of existence, for justice and righteousness are the foundation of his throne. There is no liberty or justice apart from God. It is a deadly lie of the modern world that liberty is “apart from” submission to our Creator and King. He is our supreme authority at all times, and His Word reveals His Will.

Psalm 106:1

Praise the Lord, for He is Good…for His Mercy endures forever!

  1. Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all his praise?
  1. Blessed are those who keep justice and he who does righteousness at all times!

It is interesting that a prayer begins the chapter, as the nation’s sins are then acknowledged, for future generations to see, and to learn from. We can learn from their mistakes, from seeing God’s responses, and how godly men can indeed “intervene” when sin is standing in the way of God’s merciful nature and turning him toward wrath. Clearly, as scripture says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!”

The remarkable prayer that begins the chapter:

“Remember me Lord with the favor you have toward your people…

visit me with your salvation…

that I may see the benefit of your chosen ones…

that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation…

that I may glory with your inheritance.”

Now let’s observe what the people did against God….that we may learn… and turn:

  • sinned with our fathers
  • have committed iniquity
  • have done wickedly
  • did not understand your wonders
  • did not remember the multitude of your mercies
  • instead… rebelled against God
  • soon forgot his works
  • did not wait for his counsel
  • lusted exceedingly in the wilderness
  • tested God in the desert.
    • And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
  • envied leadership and spoke against their spiritual authorities, Moses and Aaron.
    • The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan and Abiram, and fire burned up the wicked.
  • exchanged their glory (God), for an image of an ox that eats grass
  • forgot God and his works and awesome things done
    • Therefore He said that He would destroy them.
      • But Moses stood in the breach, interceded, and turned away his wrath
  • despised the “pleasant” land
  • complained in their tents
  • did not heed the voice of the Lord
    • Therefore He raised his hand in an oath to overthrow them in the wilderness.
  • joined themselves to Baal, and ate sacrifices made to the dead
  • provoked him to anger with their deeds
    • Therefore a plague broke out
      • And Phineas stood up and intervened in the plague was stopped
      • The plague was stopped and that intervention was accounted to him for righteousness.
  •  angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses on account of them..
  • they rebelled against His Spirit so that he, Moses, spoke rashly with his lips. (leaders are held accountable by God as they lead; he wasn’t allowed into the promised land, that he led them to)
  • did not destroy the peoples, concerning whom the Lord had commanded them.
  • mingled with the Gentiles (those who did not know or follow Jehovah)
  • learned their works and served their idols, which became a snare to them.
  • sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons..shed their blood to idols of Canaan, polluted the land with blood.
  • were defiled by their own works.
  • played the harlot by their own deeds.
    • Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against his people, so that he abhored his own inheritance.
    • He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles and those who hated them ruled over them.
    • Their enemies also oppressed them and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
  • Many times he delivered them, but they rebelled in their counsel and were brought low for their iniquity.
    • Nevertheless, he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry, and for their sake he remembered his covenant and relented according to the multitude of his mercies.
    • He also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them away captive.

The Chapter ends with another remarkable prayer:

Save us, oh Lord our God… and gather us from among the Gentiles… to give thanks to your holy name… and to triumph in your praise!

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting!

And let all the people say, Amen.

Praise the Lord!

NOW… Why is all this shared? Because I have GOOD NEWS and I have BAD NEWS:

The GOOD NEWS is...Jesus took God’s wrath upon himself, so if you repent as an individual of any of these sins listed in Psalm 106, and believe Jesus took away God’s wrath toward you, you can rest at ease and pray for the nation to turn toward God too. Even in this chapter we see clearly it is God’s desire to extend Mercy over Judgment.

YET, THE BAD NEWS is.…He who does not Believe the Son shall not see life but the Wrath of God abides on him.  And the wrath of God IS revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. God has indeed made The Truth evident to mankind of how He looks upon ungodliness (evil behavior) and unrighteousness (believing we are good and righteous in our own right or that there is another way to reconcile with God.) Take a look at the detail of these verses in the pictures:

Life or Wrath

Friends, Christ is the GOOD NEWS amidst THE BAD NEWS. Always was and always will be THE ANSWER for an individual’s sin problem!

So…What About The Nation ?  The USA? and it’s sins collectively???

We have been met with great mercies, yet the Lord is calling for individuals to come to Him, and as he “collectively sees” hearts after Him, he can hold back wrath. If, however, we are as Israel, and continue in our rebellious ways, collectively as a Nation, we can expect nothing else but God’s Wrath to be extended upon the USA. We have indeed committed the same sins as Israel, his chosen people did. They started out blessed and delivered, as the USA has… but they were brought into captivity and judgment. What will be Our Fate as a country? If we are the same toward GOD, as Israel was in days of old, then we know we will be taken captive by our enemies.

Can YOU make a difference? Yes, of course!!!

Come to Jesus and be reconciled to God! Repent of sin and receive sweet cleansing and reconciliation to God through Christ.  In Christ is everything you need! Ever!  Be saved. Be water baptized to identify with Him, and ask Him to baptize you with His Spirit to receive power to go through the end times now upon us, and to be his witness! His Word will be a lamp to your path, and his hands will take a hold of yours and lead you…as his Spirit comes to dwell within you. Trust and obey Him. As you align yourself to Him, you will receive such a sweet abiding presence of His Spirit within you, and will be just fine, no matter what the future holds.

Only God knows whether we have, as a Nation, tipped the scales toward his wrath… so Today, If you Hear His Voice, Harden not your heart.  Your being saved as “an individual” whether you live or die, is what is important right now. Cry out to Jesus, and God will be be reconciled to you through Jesus’ blood. He is The Way! And YOU become the righteousness of God in Christ, and He will no longer see your unrighteousness, but His Son’s Righteousness in you.

Amen. Truly the Good News for a nation and an individual is Christ!! For the wrath of God was turned away, as the love of God gave us Christ, who took the wages of sin upon Himself, that those WHO BELIEVE IN HIM MIGHT BE SAVED!

Will the Lord’s Army of these End Times be as Gideon’s Army?

gideonJudges Chapters 7-8 tell us of Gideon and the assembling, or rather disassembling, of His army, which was then put together according to God’s Guidelines.

The result was totally amazing warfare waged, and victory won, because Gideon’s Army, in essence, BECAME the Lord’s Army!!

Today I was considering the question above that seemed to pop into my mind:

Will the Lord’s Army of these end times be AS Gideon’s Army of old?

I reasoned as I read the passage…

“This is what happened concerning Gideon’s Army. Perhaps it is, or will be, this way with the Lord’s Army during these end times.”

“If we can recognize what God is doing, then we can adjust ourselves, as to what we think or do or focus on, accordingly.”

The Holy Spirit instructed me years ago saying, “Ask not, Is My agenda God’s…Ask, Is God’s Agenda Mine?”  and I realized then that God desires the transforming of our minds and a conforming of our ways, so He can have us “do life” centered on His perspective and not our own. This is why we are given the Word and the Spirit. To acquire a new paradigm, so we can BECOME the LORD’S ARMY!!

So let’s begin:

What was Gideon’s Army like?

To his amazement, God considered that Gideon had “too many” men, yet his original numbers were way lower than the opposing forces to begin with. So, if God’s end-time army will be as Gideon’s army, then it really has nothing to do with “how many” believers are left to be in God’s hands. God’s not about numbers!! He is about the ones “He can trust”, though they may be few.  Even if his modern churches are crowded with people, there may only be a few that will be able to meet these “qualifiers” that Gideon’s army had to meet:

First, those men AFRAID to face the enemywere let go.  The men themselves were told, if you’re afraid, you can leave. And they did. Each one of us must determine our own level of faith versus fear. I remember in my younger years when I was stumbling into sin fairly often, even as a believer,  God told me this: “Beth, you have more faith in the Enemy to take you down, than in Me to keep you and build you up!”  I realized that loving rebuke was right-on, and so I changed my mind’s thinking, and the Spirit began to show me the areas in my life controlled by that former paradigm . This FEAR can be experienced in the natural against men, or in the supernatural against the unseen realms of darkness. But Fear is essentially a Lack of Faith in God’s Ability, and a Faith in Satan’s Ability…and an Inability to Take a Stand, be it with God or with Satan.  Choosing Faith in God really does take fear away, but these men chose to stay with Fear, but not so much so that they sided with the Enemy. They simply saw the odds of losing their lives was too great, and wanted out when given the opportunity.

Then, Those NOT ALERT to the enemywere let go.  A test was given to determine this, having to do with how they drank their water, whether lapping with their hands so their eyes could peer upward to keep alert to danger, or whether they laid down their weapons and put their face right into the water to lap it up.  The ones NOT ALERT, failed the test, and were let go. God did not want them in Gideon’s army! Nor will He likely want people who are unaware to the enemy’s presence, in His army Today! Turning a blind eye, will disqualify.

The army’s leader, Gideon, LISTENED and DID EXACTLY AS HE WAS INSTRUCTED! (Leadership needs to be hearing and obeying God, in order to lead the people under them! Amen?!) We have a Captain of the Hosts too, who leads us daily, and his name is Jesus Christ.  He takes and leads us with what he hears from Father God just as Gideon led his men. And the Holy Spirit takes the orders He gives us straight to us, the men and women of His Army! He uses the Word of God, which is referred to as the Sword of the Spirit.

To Gideon and to the small number of men that were left God said, “Surely I Will Be With You.”  He says this to all who are in His Army today too. We are “never abandoned” “left alone” or “forsaken”. His promise remains with us as it was with Gideon.

The men remaining in the army LISTENED to their leader, Gideon, and DID EXACTLY AS THEY WERE INSTRUCTED even though their orders may have sounded as “foolishness” to them.  We too, will hear instructions come our way, that may not make sense to our finite minds, but we must realize who our Leader is. He is chosen of God. Annointed. More than able to lead us. He, Jesus, already “proved” that he listened and did exactly as He was instructed. Now will we?

A “divine strategy” WAS given. The army of Gideon’s was not left to depend on themselves or their own own numbers, their own wisdom, or their own strength. They were led by God and told exactly how to overthrow their enemies. So too, we who remain in God’s army, have a “KNOWING” (a total awareness) that what’s coming down is NOT of US, but of God. Not originated with us, nor played out totally by us, but that we have a part, that requires trust and obedience to THAT PLAN when its made known to us. God is a strategist every minute of every day, if only we would heed our orders, following those promptings of the Spirit, obeying what we know to be the Will of God, seeking His Ways within His Word.

Unusual warfare was fought! Gideon’s army actually surrounded the enemy-blowing trumpets-breaking pitchers with torches lit- shouting loudly, so this indeed was not your typical warfare! It was ingeniously master-minded! God knows how to use his army! But afterward, when we read of it, we think “wow” that was so smart! They thought they were surrounded by huge numbers! Their enemies were put into confusion by the unusual noise and light!  Believers, if we’d only realize that if we all start shining our lights and making noise unto the Lord in way of testimonies and sharing and helping and loving on each other, the enemy will go bonkers! We can really cause them to go into hysterics when they realize they are surrounded and unable to go forward in their evil way. If they can’t turn their frustration on us, they’ll turn it onto each other.

As they obeyed this unusual instruction, they shouted and declared:  “The Sword of the Lord and of Gideon!”  This was repeated in the chapter, as if for emphasis… and I wonder if God is indeed saying to us in modern day, from even this simple declaration, that His Sword today is the same Sword Gideon operated in in days of old. The sword stands for the real truth in my eyes… being on the “right side”…the side that GOD is on! It will penetrate through the enemy lines with ease. Nothing can stand in its way.

Now note this: It says that Every man STOOD in His Place, whilst they just did what they were told…while the Enemy’s Camp became hysterical and panicked!  Interestingly, a passage in the New Testament, Ephesians 6:13, says, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”  I can’t help but see that this is exactly what Gideon and his army did. They did what they were told and they STOOD, each in his own place! And they watched God fight the battle “for them”… yet they actively participated… so, in essence, God fought “with them”.

The Result? The Enemy, which was of a great number, began to destroy one another, for confusion came upon their camp!  They turned on one another!

Oh wow, I love that!  They got so frightened by God’s army taking a stand, letting their lights shine, and letting the trumpet sound be heard, declaring the words about the Sword of the Lord, and they simply didn’t know who they were “taking out”, as in destroying. It ended up it was their own men! They destroyed themselves.

When Gideon and his army’s victory was become known and they were crossed over the Jordan, while yet still in pursuit, other rulers were asked to feed Gideon’s army and they defiantly refused, and Gideon destroyed their defiant leaders as “enemies” as well. It tells us they were Ishmaelites. (Yes, as in modern day ISIS-Islam). Their leaders’ words to Gideon, “Rise yourself and kill us, for as a man is, so is his strength.” Well, Gideon did kill them, for they only looked at men As men, and didn’t see it was God who gave Gideon all ability. Just as Gideon took out these “leaders” for their defiance, so The Lord can easily “take out” the leaders of ISIS and other evil armies that would be anti-Christ as their root nature. They challenge God, as these leaders challenged Gideon? They’d better begin to tremble!! But they won’t (tremble) for they have the same mindset as these men of Judges 8. Yet Gideon’s men knew what was coming down, and knew the danger their open and direct defiance put them in. The End Time battle is about good versus evil, not a person automatically your enemy because of the color of his skin or where he is from.

In fact, when I think of  the atrocities our enemies, the Islam extremists, ISIS, Taliban, etc. have done, which are becoming so Vile and Violent, so great and widespread, I believe that the people of their own Islamic faith will begin open their eyes to their false God and beliefs and put their eyes onto Jesus! They will recognize the dichotomy and be given the grace to make the choice for Jesus! I’m praying for the Light of the World to shine upon them! That Jesus would reveal himself to people of all faiths that are not acknowledging Him as the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Why would people continue to serve a God that takes life from them, when they can serve a God that gives life TO them! Why would they choose bloodshed and hatred, over love and peace? God’s Army, following God’s Divine Strategy, remains on the winning side! Many may even be joining our ranks, while their brothers are killing one another in confusion!

Well, In the end, Gideon took no glory or rank, but declared to Israel:  “I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you: THE LORD SHALL RULE OVER YOU!!”

All of this….warfare…in the spiritual realms and in the natural realms, comes to an END. And we in the Lord’s Army know that end!  Jesus, Our Leader, will reign… and ultimately will turn over the Kingdom of God, and God will be all in all !

I Corinthians 15:24-28 Then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death. For He has put all things in subjection under His Feet. But when He says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.”

But now for a final, sobering observation—-after reading to the end of Judges 8.

Note, though their enemy was quieted,  a stumbling block was created, by taking the plunder from the Ishmaelites…their golden earrings…which was made into a ephod…hung in the city of Ophrah, which caused all Israel to play the harlot, and it became a snare to Gideon. What place did God hold in their hearts as to the “glory given”? Evidently not too much! Victories of the past were not regarded as God’s but Gideon’s maybe…and not sure really how harlotry played out, but harlotry meant they weren’t loyal to God. Nor actually, to Gideon. And we see this horrible insight:

Near the end of Judges 8, it says when Gideon died, the children of Israel again played the harlot with the Baals, and did not remember the Lord their God, who delivered them from their enemies on every side, nor did they show kindness to the house of Gideon in accordance to the good he had done for Israel.

The people both ignored God, who had delivered them, and forsook their leader, who had led them and fought in their behalf.

IS THE LORD’S ARMY doing this TODAY? Are we holding God in our hearts and giving Him the Glory, for everything?

Are you drawing any parallels to modern-day events? Do we not even have plans to reconstruct Baal’s temple right in New York. God did so much for the USA, we were small but God fought with us for our independence. Then we erected glory unto ourselves, and now we have forgot God. The next step, returning to Baal?

I don’t know about you, but I’m choosing to be part of God’s Army, RIGHT NOW, Today! Not a part of those who turn away and forget who God is…  Or who, when in victory, believe we’ve overcome all the obstacles along life’s way ourselves. But we can confidently do our part… Taking Our Stand for truth, and righteousness, and exalting Christ our Lord.

As we take our stand, remember the size of our army to the enemies armies may look small… But We Have the One True God! And it is our Heart That God looks at. He can wage war with us. And, He is also Captain of the Hosts, and commands angels to fight in our behalf! Hallelujah!

So to capsulate these truths, let me just say this:

  • Wow! I’m getting excited!! I’m Seeing God’s Agenda, not mine!
  • I want to be as one in Gideon’s Army!!! or should I say “The LORD’S ARMY”
  • No Fear!
  • Alert!
  • Listening!
  • Doing Exactly as I am Instructed! (Whether it makes sense to me or not)
  • Standing in my Own Place
  • Seeing the Lord fight the Battle, of which I’ve done my part by cooperating with known strategy.
  • Pursuing the enemy until he is destroyed
  • AND Giving God all the Glory! Not setting up monuments onto ourselves and taking credit for our own victories, but realizing God is all in all !
  • Are YOU centered on Him and giving Him the honor due His Name?

Let’s Fight the Good Fight of Faith!

Let’s Wield “The Sword of the Lord and of Gideon!”

The End … at God’s Appointed Time

Clearly, “at the appointed time”  The End of all things will come.

And clearly, The Living God knows the endings from the beginnings…and future history has been determined even as we live in the today of our own individual lives. The triumph that comes from trusting in what God has revealed of what the future holds, is what I want you to know!

I just read through the book of Daniel today in my bible …a very difficult-to-understand book, but I want to record some simple truths to share with you today, regarding The End of All Things. Why? Because I think a godly perspective gives understanding, wisdom, and focus, and some of you may not have visited this book for awhile.

I am not going to focus on Daniel or his life…but rather share insight into “The End”…which was revealed to him by God, and is shared with us who are living in “today”! Yes, much understanding is actually sealed up until the end, but as time unfolds we gain more and more momentum, and more can be understood as time seems to be accelerating. I don’t know the interpretations to these visions, for they remain a mystery to me in many ways, but TODAY, you and I can know some powerful simple truths about what’s coming and what’s ahead for us, that can strengthen us immensely!!

It was God who showed these things to Daniel, who recorded the visions of what was to come forth in the future, though they troubled him, making him physically ill. He wrote down the revelation and made it plain, and now we have it to give us “encouragement” to face our future.

Rest assured, NOTHING in modern time is a surprise to God. Nothing that will happen in the future will be without his foreknowledge. He KNOWS what’s what, people! And it is all predetermined! But how “you and I” fit into this Eternal PLAN, is really up to us. And how we walk our daily walk can be determined by our gaining some understanding into the future. Ignorance of spiritual truth and lack of knowledge regarding God’s plan can be very costly to a person and a nation!

First let’s see what simple truths Daniel shares about The End:

The END includes:

  • A kingdom which shall not be destroyed…it is everlasting. (It is the Kingdom of God.)
  • A dominion that endures to the end…forever! (It is the rule and reign of Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God.)
  • Jesus Christ is given by God…dominion, glory, and a kingdom…that all peoples, nations and languages will serve him! … it’s an everlasting dominion!
  • God has a 1000 thousands serving him and 10,000 ten-thousands standing before him as the court is seated, and the books are open. Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? What is being recorded in the books about you?
  • The kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the Saints of The Most High!

This is the end of the matter, Saints! God’s Kingdom and Christ’s dominion is everlasting, and WE WILL INHERIT THIS KINGDOM!

What an awesome and incredible future awaits us all!  We have no reason to be sad, worried, fearful, depressed, or confounded. We have been told OUR FUTURE!!

So what will happen up until the appointed time?

  • The people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits!
  • Some with understanding, will fall… to refine them… purify them… make them white…until the time of the end, because it is still for the appointed time.
  • There will be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that time. And at that time God’s people shall be delivered... everyone who is found written in the book… and many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake… some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
  • Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament…those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. (I.e. We will be glorified! at least those who are WISE and TURN MANY TO RIGHTEOUSNESS will be!)
  • Many will be purified, made white, and refined …but the wicked shall do wickedly… and none of the wicked should understand… but the wise shall understand.

So, as you can see, trouble will continue…such as the world has ever known… the wicked will remain wicked and not understand what’s what… but the WISE  WILL UNDERSTAND.  What?  That THE END has already been determined by Almighty God! And we are already a part of it… those of us who believe in and follow Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and the only way to the Father!

Do not fear what the future holds, brothers and sisters in Christ. Just as Daniel never feared standing up for God though he was thrown to the Lions and lived among foreigners, don’t fear being thrown to the Lions of modern day. But Fear God, who has the power to save or destroy…which choice is yours: To believe in Jesus and his death and resurrection and coming again, and look forward to his everlasting Kingdom, which all believers are now a part of? or to live for yourself and care nothing about the end of time, refusing to repent or turn toward God, and just “going along with the crowd” to destruction. This will lead to “everlasting destruction” eventually.

The End will come, you see, at its appointed time.

I for one, am happy God’s Word clearly tells us the VERY END OF TIME will come at its appointed time, so we can make it through all that happens between now and then by staying IN CHRIST and Believing In His Eternal Kingdom. Then no matter what happens to our earthly nation…be it the USA, or another nation of the world… and no matter what happens to us individually as far as how we would die or suffer, we KNOW an eternal kingdom awaits The Saints of God, and we need not live in fear. Ever! We can be REJOICING even now, for we know what The End includes! God’s got this!!!

This will take faith on the part of the Saints. And it may mean making a stand, as Daniel did in his day, as he was surrounded by people who served other gods. His life was in danger, yes! Yet, His Faith led to others coming to the True and Living God, and our faith will do the same!

Here is a verse in the New Testament that simply confirms what God showed Daniel in the old testament: Colossians 1:9-13

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

Accept Christ – And inherit His Kingdom! It’s as simple as this friends. He paid the cost to redeem you from the Kingdom of this World, and deliver you out of darkness… Just receive what He did for you. Then live for him… as the verses above describe. You’ll be SO TRIUMPHANT if you simply ABIDE IN CHRIST!!

Life Eternal – What a Gift!!

christ born to dieVirgin Born, Jesus IS The Christ, the Son of the Living God, ….came TO die…that God might forgive us our sin, not counting our trespasses against us. Christ gives us life’s most perfect gift through himself! Eternal Life! Reconciliation with the true God and knowledge of who He is, Himself!

“And this IS life eternal: that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast SENT.” John 17:3

that is: in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. II Cor 5:19

Familiarize yourself with the above two verses! For they sum up the Good News:

TO KNOW GOD AND CHRIST is each Believer’s greatest GIFT and is LIFE ETERNAL!

Become a Believer! or should I say, Receiver… (smile)

And then you, are “entrusted” to share Christ and this message of reconciliation with others! No other “qualification” necessary to share!… but to have “received Christ yourself!”  Your “calling” is now known!

I pray you had a Merry CHRISTmas and I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

ENJOY your Life Eternal, TODAY! And let Your Light SHINE! (smile)

An Opinion or A Witness? Which is the More Reliable?

God is a greater witness than a person, wouldn’t you say?

…whether that man or woman be expressing their thoughts, opinions, beliefs, reasonings, or interpretations on religious matters?

So the question…

Is Jesus the ONLY Way to God and Eternal Life?

Jesus said that he was The Way…The Truth…The Life.. and that no man could come unto the Father but by Him. (John 14:6)  Was he telling the truth?

Well, Let’s hear A Witness…That’s how we expose a lie when in court, right?

Let’s hear what God the Father, Himself, has to say:

Let’s take a look at this passage of I John 5:9-20 which is powerful to dispel the lie that there are many ways to God and eternal life. Feel free to look it up in your bible, yet because we are a society of bullet points, I have broken up this passage using them for emphasis, while keeping the text and punctuation totally intact, so that you may see more clearly its truth:

Here is the scripture, I John 5:9-20:

  • If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:
  • for this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son:
  • he that believes on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:
  • he that believes not God hath made Him a liar; because he believes not the record that God gave of his Son.
  • And this is the record: that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
  • He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
  • These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
  • And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, He hears us:
  • And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
  • If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
  • All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
  • We know that whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.
  • And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.
  • And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is trueand we are in Him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

One of the biggest lies out in the world is that there is more than one way to God and more than one way to eternal life. This “lie” is really antichrist (against Christ).  This lie has everyone around us questioning…the true God?

Doubting that Jesus is the Christ, the Anointed One, and the only way to God being through His shed blood and abiding in His Name, causes people to try this and try that, and look into this religion and that one, and they become more and more confused as to what is the truth.  They exchange the witness of the true God himself for the opinion of man, especially if this or that person or argument or perspective has “impressed him”…BUT I repeat the scripture Romans 3:4, “Let God be true, but every man a liar.” That is, Let us believe all men’s words and opinion are fallible, rather than God to speak what is not true! The word tells us God cannot lie(See Titus 1:2) Therefore, He is indeed a reliable witness, is He not?

Do not doubt what God has spoken, though you may see hypocritical speech or behavior around about you. Our passage tells us true believers are kept from sin. Or do you happen to “like someone” who is impressing upon you their Anti-Christ philosophies…(meaning they are against Christ as God’s only way to eternal life)? Is their logic and reasoning causing you to side with “an opinion” and not “God’s witness”?  Are you already aligning yourself with the AntiChrist spirit which is upon the world, rather than siding with God?

I John 2:22-23 says, “I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.”

I John 4:3 says, “every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.”

The first-given, bulleted passage of 1 John 5 is written for those believers who will call on the name of Jesus to be saved and to be answered in their prayers of faith…and my prayer is that unbelievers will also become believers by reading THE TRUTH… And the confidence and assurance of a true believer CAN be theirs too, upon receiving Christ as Lord.

God’s main emphasis? He tells us we, as believers, can know…we are His…and that eternal life… is indeed Ours!

Do you see all the “know” references? (in the scripture I just revealed to you at the bullet points?) I encourage you to read them again, please…

Now look at the last verse in particular:

  • And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is trueand we are in Him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Can you see that God, who bears witness in this passage, is trying to get you to understand that Jesus is TRUE?  we are in Him, who is the TRUE God?  and is Eternal Life? how many times does can one verse say this?… answer: enough so that we will “know”, I suppose, as believers, that ours is the true God. (smile)

We ought not to entertain the ideas of other religions, alternative lifestyles, new age experimentation, questioning continuously our own faith.  We can stand on solid ground, and establish ourselves in our faith. We can simply BELIEVE WHAT GOD HAS SAID in the Holy Scriptures concerning His Son, and the only way to He, the Father!” He is the greatest “witness” to his own Sonfor God is the greatest “being” of all! Again, I repeat, God cannot lie.  He should know what His Son has purchased for us in dying on the cross and shedding his blood…don’t you think? The word says concerning Jesus, His Son:  “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Now… with the words of God’s testimony embraced… Believers, you can REST in your salvation.  Put on that helmet of Salvation and protect your mind from “incoming” lies and doubts and questionings that you as a believer in Christ Jesus have somehow “missed it”.  You do not need to know more of “the world and its philosophies”! Quit seeking when you HAVE the answer, if you have already once believed in Christ. What you need is to know more of is “the Word and God’s statements” about His own creation and plan, and His plans and purposes for each of us…so you can stand…against the lies, and be a witness too, speaking to others of Christ Jesus.

I encourage you…Go after God, and stand firm!

Believe and be made strong, if you are already a Believer. Pray, believing God hears! Speak believing others will hear! Stand in your conviction, as the Spirit empowers you.

And if you are not yet a believer in Christ, TODAY is the day!

Simply Believe the above passage, and what God says, and YOU CAN KNOW TOO… that CHRIST is The Lord, and ETERNAL LIFE is yours, in Him.  It is quite simply, a choice to Believe God and what He himself declares of His Son, and then you HAVE eternal life, immediately within…yet you will then grow in Grace and Knowledge of God and his Son Jesus Christ…and sin is removed as you yield to His workings within your heart…and His Grace gives you righteousness, joy, and peace.

Being confident, and “knowing” for certain of your salvation, and eternal security, you will then have the power to walk the walk of Being HIS…for Christ’s Spirit then dwells within you, that you may Know Him.

I will close with this confirmation….from another scripture passage:

John 17:3 Now this is ETERNAL LIFE: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Let’s not heed man’s opinion but rather embrace God’s witness.

Identifying The Hardened Heart

As I began to read the book of Exodus this week, the Lord began to unfold to me characteristics of “The Hardened Heart” and how when one has one, it can grow increasingly hard, and is indeed Identifiable.  I’ll show you the hardening heart’s progression in these verses from Exodus that are in progression as well.

I am speaking of a person’s heart, their real inner self, and how their heart responds to God, when His Words and His Will are revealed.

The Number One characteristic of a hardened heart is that it WILL NOT LISTEN TO GOD. Indeed something IS going into the ear or heart, is heard, and its meaning acknowledged, but a hardened heart will not heed what is heard or respond to God in heart-felt obedience. A person with a hardened heart may temporarily respond, for RELIEF, but then will continue back into their own way. God will continue to speak, that He may be heard, until the hardened heart is stone cold.

None of us is exempt from the possibility of a hardening heart. Therefore try recognize yourself as well as others around about you in these identifiers. These are the last days and many will have hardened hearts. It is good, therefore, for all of us to be able to recognize what a hard heart will be like in those around around us, and know the identifiers so we can avoid a hard heart ourselves. In this case, preventative maintenance is indeed better than damage control.

You may desire to print this and follow along in your Bible, as a personal bible study, and I will bullet point the identification of a hard heart. If you don’t have the time to look up the corresponding scriptures, at least glance through the bullet points…please..for I believe that the Holy Spirit gave this important revelation for this hour. God and Christ Jesus must want these identifiers noted… for the Spirit does not reveal things that have no need to be revealed.

Friends, we are and will be surrounded by those with hardened hearts. Let’s see now what the Word of God reveals concerning one with a hard heart.

Exodus 7: 22-23

  • Easy to turn away from the truth of God, his words or instruction, even having heard it clearly declared.
  • Easy to walk away, to disengage from the reality of what they’re facing
  • Easy to ignore and to go back into their comfort zone
  • Don’t even take it to heart; no thought wasted upon it. Conscience seared.
  • Because the world and the occult mimics what God does, oftentimes His Acts don’t receive consideration.

Exodus 8:8-10

  • When to call upon the Lord?
  • Always “Tomorrow”.
  • Hard hearts always want to yield or to make change “tomorrow”…never TODAY…never NOW.

Exodus 8:15

  • When RELIEF was received, back came the hardened heart... and the “not listening”.
  • This is how to differentiate between “worldly sorrow” and “godly sorrow” (II Cor 7:10)

Exodus 8:18-19

  • Even those in Satan’s camp, those into the occult practices, the magicians could not help but believe when they experienced the Finger of God …. But One with a hard Heart can still resist great signs. (This also gives indication that those in the occult may not have hard hearts, but misplaced alliances, and can and will be brought to salvation through Christ, resulting in them “changing sides”.)

Exodus 8:25-28

  • A hard heart will try to bargain or compromise with God. (Sacrifice “here” not there)
  • Even conceding, seemingly, One with the hard heart will not go as far as what God commands. (God said, a distance of three days. Hard heart “don’t go very far”)

Exodus 8:29-32

  • Hard hearts deceive, over and over, to get their own way… All they are after is “relief.” Then they go back to their own will and way.

Exodus 9:7

  • Even knowing the righteous would “receive favor” and that those of hardened heart would “receive judgment”, a hard heart will remain.

Exodus 9:11-12

  • Even if they notice the aspects of sin or judgment in the view of sufferings, griefs, pains around them, One with a hard heart will remain hard.

Exodus 9:17

  • A Hard heart acts arrogantly against the people of God.

Exodus 9:19-21

  • A hard heart will not heed a warning, even when given the option to receive grace! Whereas, when one has the “fear of the Lord”, they will at least take the warning “just in case”.

Exodus 9:27

  • A hard heart can speak words of repentance: “I have sinned” and can acknowledge God: ” The Lord is the righteous one and I am guilty” yet…

Exodus 9:30

  • Though they speak words, to get relief, God knows the real hearts. He revealed his heart: “I know that you still do not fear the Lord God”
  • True repentance is of the heart… not with words.

Exodus 9:34

  • Again, when relief comes, from God’s heavy hand… Those with a hard heart will sin again, and their heart will harden all the more!

Exodus 9:34b

  • At the hardhearted harden still more, they will bring others to the same hardness of heart that they have. (Note, “and his officials”, was added.)
  • Hanging around with someone with a hard heart? Warning: Your own heart will become hardened!

Exodus 10:3

  • God’s words to those of hardened heart: “How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me?

Exodus 10:4

  • God gives you “TODAY” to repent of your hard heart.

Exodus 10:7-10

  • Devastation realized… those with a hard heart will try ” to control the situation” even in their choice to yield. (men only… ) (God had said: Everyone, with the herds)
  • When the discover that they cannot cause God to compromise with them, anger will ensue from their frustration of not having the control.

Exodus 10:16-17

  • A hard heart may again be speaking words of repentance and even go so far as to speak words of apology to the person representing the Lord (“and against you”), Or who they sinned against…But…”Please forgive my sin once more” remain empty words…for they only do this “for relief” of God’s heavy hand (I.e. a change in circumstances)…. Not because of any genuine fear of, or belief in, the Lord.

Exodus 10:20

  • When they have received grace… in other words, they get RELIEF… they go right back to “resisting” God.

Exodus 10:24-26

  • A hard heart, when going into another time of some kind of conceding to God…will then compromise a little bit more with God… but will still not let obedience or concession be full, or obedience complete.
  • A hard heart STILL wants to have SOME control. Humility Is just out of the realm of possibility!
  • A hard heart is afraid of losing control, power, or the right to dictate. It still holds itself up “as God” and “self” rules.

Exodus 10:25-29

  • When one of God’s servants is continuously standing up for and declaring God’s will, one with a hardened heart will not desire further contact with that person.

Exodus 10:28

  • Even a murderous heart will become resident within a person with a hard heart, if he refuses to let God dictate to him.

Exodus 11:4-10

  • A hard heart can even resist a warning “against LIFE” and will even sacrifice “human life” (of others) just to have its own will and way.

This is why it is called “a hard heart” ….there’s no life in it toward God. It is a heart of stone.

If you walked through these identification points regarding one of a hardened heart, you will receive an understanding of what the end times are going to be like.

Let’s look at a few more related Scriptures too:

Matthew 4:18

“They are darkened in their understanding; alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

  • They don’t desire to know what God has to say.
  • People around us with hard hearts will not care about understanding, for they don’t want the life of God… and their ignorance is quite notable.
  • Their hard hearts and pride, and self-rule, have kept them from the word of God, or from listening to any one who witnesses to them or preaches the word.
  • Consciences seared, they are alienated from even the great grace of having a guilty conscience to steer them toward God.

Proverbs 28:13-14

“He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoever confesses and forsakes them, shall have Mercy. Happy is the man that is always reverent before God, but whoever hardens his heart falls into trouble, mischief, and calamity.”

  • Trouble will mark the life of those with hardened hearts.

The book of Hebrews, especially chapters 3 and 4 talk about “TODAY, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled!”  A “Rest in the Lord” is available as our reward… a promise obtained from our obedience!

But the operative word is TODAY.

Hebrews 3:13 says, “Exhort one another daily, as it is TODAY, so you won’t be deceived by sin and become hardened in your hearts.”

Hebrews 4:7
“So God sent another time for entering his rest, and that time is TODAY. God announced this to David much later in the words already quoted: TODAY when you hear his voice don’t harden your hearts.”

Psalms 95: 7 – 11
…”TODAY if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts. I said they are people whose hearts go astray and they have not known my ways…”

Today is the time.

Tomorrow may bring judgment, consequences, reaping of our wrong choices, etc.

But we have TODAY…To affect any “future outcome”…through our heeding the Lord God and Honoring Christ through our obedience and following.

As we choose to soften our own hearts to humbly listen and obey God, we ourselves can avoid a hardened heart.

The most tremendous judgment of God in this world is the hardening of the hearts of men. This occurs when they continually Make Choices Daily NOT TO HEED HIS WILL when it is known.

By the way I read a quote, recently, sort-of a side-line to the subject but not OFF the subject. Hardened Hearts will affect people’s health too! This is the quote:

Hardening of the Heart ages people more quickly than the hardening of the arteries! (Author Unknown)

Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

In this case, too, I repeat: “preventative maintenance” is way better than “damage control“, for when it is too late…our hearts have become as stone.

Encouragement:  If you are at all concerned about this topic, having read it, I assure you that you do not have a hard heart that is unable to become pliable in the Lord’s hands. So simply guard yourself, turn toward God and make necessary changes, and have your resolve to use TODAY to heed God’s voice. You will be led into sweet victory!! Amen!
