In His Name or Mine? My Agenda or His?

Interestingly, this is what Jesus said to me personally: “If I ask you to do something and then you do it, then it’s in My Name. If I don’t ask you to do something, and you do it, then it’s in your name.” Such a simple truth brings me great clarity..So I thought I’d share it with you all. For me, it will cause me to ponder before taking an action, for I desire to do those things which hold eternal value, i.e. are done in Jesus’ name. Now I hope to be able to discern the difference between obedience to his leading and religious activity done to gain his approval, but that’s actually done in my own name.

In light of this, I recollect years ago the Lord told me also, “Ask not, is your agenda mine….Ask, Is My Agenda yours?”  Simple, yet profound too. He desires to be changing the paradigm of His Children. Not just mine. Are we looking at the future in light of what God would like to accomplish through us For HIMSELF? Are we listening to hear his mandate? Are we obeying his instruction? …Or have we been short sighted and focused on what We could accomplish FOR God?  Is focus of our Christian walk on ourselves? Or is it on Him? What happened to being his ambassador…representing him? He desires obedience, not sacrifice.

What prompts your own actions? Is He leading? Are you following? …or have you been super frustrated trying to lead Him? Or desiring Him to act on “your behalf”, instead of the other way around?

To do some thing in His Name, means “On His Behalf”… authorized to represent Him and His Interest in a matter. Here is a little object lesson graphic I just created to reveal the difference between acting on our own versus being sent to act on the Lord’s behalf. It is a fictitious authorization letter I just penned, to get across the idea.. of being authorized by Him to do His Will…to act in His Name:

This is short and sweet, but please ponder these two revelations…

May God accomplish all His Will in His Children…in Jesus Name.

USA – NOW is the Time to Make OUR Choice

Which Choice Will You Make?Years ago the Lord spoke the words to me: “Ask not, is my agenda God’s? Ask, rather, Is God’s agenda mine.”

The Lord also highlighted the scripture, Isaiah 50:10-11, Who is among you that fears the Lord?  that obeys the voice of his servant? (Jesus) that walks in darkness and has no light ? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God! Behold, all of you who Kindle a Fire and encircle yourself with Firebrands, walk in the light of your fire,  and among the brands you have set ablaze. This “you” will have from my hand: YOU will lie down IN TORMENT.”  Meaning we’d better pause to think and not “react” concerning any of the complex decisions to be made for ourselves and our country, without consulting the Lord God and really “knowing” what we are doing or about to do.

And I was also very aware of this verse of Isaiah 48: 22, “There is no peace for the wicked” says the Lord.

“So anyway this morning the Lord melted these verses together in my heart, and then He began to speak to me of individuals and nations in light of the current world scene. I am simply sharing what I feel the Holy Spirit shared with me, in my OWN words, and not that of someone else, except God’s, through scripture. After all I am to be “a witness”.

Some confusion comes to all of us, throughout the world, leaders and ordinary folk alike, for each nation we speak of has both good and evil within it, for there are good and evil people within it. Not all the people of France are good and not all are evil… not all the people of Syria are good and not all are evil, and not all the people in the US are good and not all are evil. Same is true of each and every nation, including Israel.

It is when a nation collectively, as a whole, represents their GOD, that then “the distinction” of the NATION itself is declared to The World.

The USA, in the past, was always represented as a righteous God-fearing nation, swift to punish evil, and swift to provide aid to the oppressed, etc. In recent years other nations have come to look at us as away from God and reprobate in morals and values, and not aligning ourselves with the God of our founding fathers of the USA… i.e. God and Jesus and Holy Spirit with the bible and constitution as our guidebooks. This is the same God who has declared Israel as His Chosen People, the God is Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the founders of The Faith. Our main leadership doesn’t appear to be representing it’s people… or do they? Are we turning toward God or are we turning away from God, collectively as a nation? At the present time, I think only God himself, who sees the heart of each one in the USA, knows the answer to this question presenting itself. It is only as we make the choice and declare our allegiance through word and actions that we collectively begin to see WHO we are as a nation. This is what is happening now, and it is not to be feared. We have been paralyzed in indecision as a country for too long.

What happens when we go after evil as a nation, is that the whole nation is affected…both for good or bad. Innocent are killed while doing nothing, and innocent are killed by doing something! Either way! and that is what brings complication! Man cannot sort out the good and evil individuals…only God can! When we see them as evil or good we can determine them by their fruits, so an evil man will “become visible eventually”. The warning is, that evil men may not display the evil immediately…but eventually they will.  We’re talking the individual with his evil heart…a heart that is set against the one true God and disobedient to His Words.  Evil men are within the USA, just as they are in Syria.

God himself declares in Isaiah 45:22-25  “TURN TO ME, AND BE SAVED, ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH. FOR I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NO OTHER. I have sworn by myself, the Word has gone forth from my mouth and in righteousness, and will not turn back, that to me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. THEY will say of me, “Only in the Lord are righteousness and strength.” They will come to him. And all who were angry at him will be put to shame. In the LORD all the offspring of Israel will be justified and will glory.

These things we know for a fact from the Word of God, and this is not “opinion”:

  1. God has sworn to Keep Israel. And “all the offspring of Israel” will be justified and will glory according to the verse above. SO, to make God’s agenda ours as a nation, we the United States must side with Israel and its allies. We must remain allies with Israel against Israel’s enemies.
  • Isaiah 45:17 gives just one glimpse of this well-defined promise of God: “Israel has been saved by the Lord. With an EVERLASTING salvation. You will not be put to shame or humiliation TO ALL ETERNITY.” This means, if we want to stay in God’s will we will stay on God’s side! It’s quite that simple. Israel’s enemies as nations are not to be our “friends” as nations. So to not bring in Syrian refugees is to not welcome enemies of Israel. These enemies will eventually turn into our enemies, from within, if they oppose, as Muslims do, the people of Israel.
  1. God invites the nations to come to him, BUT IF they choose to serve a different God, than the one true God, they have made their choice. They have chosen collectively to BE Muslim and Islam countries, or Pagan, or Hindu or Buddhist countries. And USA has a choice to make too! Will we serve the ONE TRUE GOD and be preserved, or turn into a nation that serves only itself and pleasures of sin and many different gods. Our choice, as a nation, will indeed, matter, in how God protects us as a nation. We need to be praying, sharing our faith, standing up for righteousness, and asking for revival of our individual hearts and that for us as a nation.
  1. So what about the INDIVIDUALS? The ones Jesus died for, to give His Righteousness and Love to? Each one in every country is given free will to choose to turn to the one true God and His Christ…Jesus. No one will be turned away from the gift of salvation if they turn to Christ…The LOVER of their soul, not the TAKER of their soul. Each one, in each country. None of us is righteous in ourselves. We have all sinned and fall short. But Jesus is The Way, the Truth, and The Light, and no man comes into God but through Him. So this means then, that two things could happen:
  • If the individuals of a nation, including the USA, turn toward God…If the numbers do, as in a revival…they can overcome their enemies within their own nation, through Christ. In other words, if enough Syrians accepted Christ, the good ones, the refugees we want to stand up for, then God would help them rise up against the evil and God would deliver them within their own countries from those that displaced them. Syrians rising against Syrians in the name of Jesus instead of the name of Allah and Mohammad. Right now, they are just destroying each other for they are all in the name of Allah, a false destructive god, whose ideology corrupts the hearts of men, and destroys its women and children.  History has revealed this truth, though The Light must expose the darkness of Islam, to expose it to its deceived followers. Jesus is called The Light. He has revealed himself to all who seek Him or Truth, for he is The truth.
  • And the USA, collectively, has a choice to make too! Will we serve God or turn into a nation that serves only itself and pleasures of sin and many different gods, including pride in ourselves as a country even without God.  We have our own civil war going on, even amongst our leaders. Let’s listen to those who are trying to turn this nation back to God! This calls for serious prayer and involvement on the part of the Saints. Our choice, as a nation, will indeed, matter, on individuals’ choices…in how God protects us as a nation. We need to be praying, sharing our faith, standing up for righteousness, and asking for revival of our individual hearts and that for us as a nation.
  • Even Israel, to know the salvation of the God who calls them His People, must come to recognize THEIR MESSIAH, has already come, and is Christ Jesus the Lord. He, when recognized by Him, will rise up with zeal and take over as Lord of Hosts. He is waiting on His own People to leave behind their rituals and traditions and to recognize who Jesus really is. He came to individuals, who make up nations, and so GOD THE FATHER is patiently waiting for mankind to CHOOSE CHRIST, the Lamb of God, who was slain, to remove sin, and to destroy the works of Satan.

Psalms 108 :12-13 says “Oh, give us help against the adversary, for deliverance BY MAN is in vain!  THROUGH GOD we will do valiantly, and it is HE who shall TREAD DOWN our adversaries.”

This verse is applicable to nations and individuals both.

Christmas is coming. Christ was born. Simeon, declared as he held and beheld the baby Jesus, who is The Christ : “My eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples. A LIGHT of revelation to the Gentiles and the GLORY OF your people Israel.”

Christ showed us all the will of his Father was to bring forth life, and that more abundant.. To heal and make whole. And He gave himself FOR MANKIND, the whole world, no respecter of persons. Love dictates what God does, as it was demonstrated in what Christ did… He was His exact representation. But evil men destroyed Christ and Satan thought he won, BUT HE DID NOT WIN! Christ destroyed death, and raised from the dead, and gives LIFE and will one day raise from the dead all those who serve God through Him. The scripture says in I John 3:8, “He who commits sin is from Satan, because Satan is a sinner from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this reason: To destroy the works of Satan.”

The declaration by angels as Christ came?  “Glory to God in the highest ! and On earth, PEACE, and GOOD WILL toward  men!”

Isaiah 9:7 declares: “7 Of the increase of His government and peace THERE SHALL BE NO END, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth EVEN FOR EVER. The ZEAL  of the LORD OF HOSTS will perform this. “

Joshua 24:14-15 says: 14 “NOW therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

For those “on the fence” about the need to make a choice, I want to share Malachi 3:16-18:

“Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,  and the Lord gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for those who fear the Lord and who is esteem his name. “They will be mine” says the Lord of hosts “on the day that I prepare my own possession. AND I will spare them as a man spears his own son who serves him, so you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.”

I, for the record, STAND WITH the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob…the GREAT DELIVERER, and JESUS CHRIST…the GREAT SAVIOR…and listen to the HOLY SPIRIT, the GREAT COMFORTER. Ours is a “relationship” with a God who GAVE and didn’t take. He even GAVE his own son while we were YET SINNERS. He is long-suffering and patient with mankind, not willing that any should perish.

Who will YOU stand with?

Individuals can no longer “stand ON the fence”… we each MUST CHOOSE.

One must ask his or her self , Who IS  “MY” God?

If I choose Christ, I cannot side with the “other god.” I cannot serve God and mammon… I cannot serve God and Islam… I cannot serve God and Satan… I cannot serve God and Evil.

For He declares, “THERE IS NO OTHER”.

In the LORD all the offspring of Israel will be justified and will glory.”

Seems to me, one key is illuminated now, isn’t it?

Prepare Your Hearts, Not Your Futures

Christian Commentary Response to 2012 Election Results:

IN LIGHT of America’s FREE WILL being exercised…

The Lord is showing me Psalm 33:10-22 NIV

“The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the NATION whose GOD IS THE LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance. From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth– he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. No KING is saved by the size of his army; no WARRIOR escapes by his great strength. A HORSE is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all his great strength it cannot save. But the EYES of the LORD are on THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, on those whose HOPE is in his UNFAILING LOVE, to deliver them from death and keep them alive IN FAMINE. We WAIT IN HOPE for the LORD. He is our HELP and our SHIELD. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His HOLY NAME. May your UNFAILING LOVE be with us, Lord, even as we put OUR HOPE… IN YOU.”

I submit that WE who ARE HIS can trust HIM (Our Lord) to be our hope, our help, our shield, and our deliverer, for our LORD WILL RESPOND to us, in accordance to how we respond to HIM. The Word of God is very clear on this. Jesus is coming soon, to RULE AND REIGN, and the Spirit and the Bride will say, “COME”.

As we journey into the unknown now, it is more important at this time to prepare OUR HEARTS than it is to prepare OUR FUTURE.

The citizens of America did not choose a President who would stand alongside of Israel as God’s chosen people, nor have we, as a people, chosen the way of righteousness, but instead have glorified “lukewarmness”, which God promises to spew out of his mouth.  In our outright pride of being Americans, yet displaying outright defiance to God and His Word, we are indeed to be trembling and walking in the Fear of the Lord. We have exchanged OUR GLORY… for our shame.

Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

Saints of God, Let us HOLD FAST and continue to be followers of CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD… Cease not your prayers of intercession for the USA. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. (Psalm 103:8).  Though we as a nation, may fall,The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. (Psalm 103:19)  He is able to answer us, HIS PEOPLE, despite what it “looked like” last night. Twice, once with Jesus and once with Stephen, intercession was given in scripture with loud declaration:“Father, Forgive Them, For they know not what they do!” In my own heart, I plead this for USA.  I wonder if the mainstream of society has even paused to realize how God, who gave us this great nation, looks upon our defiance.

We who are citizens of the Kingdom of God, still have OUR KING REIGNING on His Throne.  Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth.  Everyone on the side of truth .” John 18:37

When I awoke YESTERDAY, BEFORE the election even took place, God quickened this song to me: THE BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC. And when I went to view the clarity of its lyrics I was amazed at the message God is sending. Let’s tighten up our ranks, do what we can to make a difference, with unity focus on the advance of Kingdom of God, and pray for GOD TO HAVE HIS WAY in America. He directs the hearts of our leaders, and He hears the hearts of his saints.

Hmm.. and just “for the record”… Last night was not “God’s Will” being done. It was the will of the people, the majority, being done. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. And we shall soon discover this. His mercy triumphs over judgment when we turn from our wicked ways, but to the unrepentant, His judgments are true and just, assured…Let God be true and every man a liar!

Battle Hymn of the Republic

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of
Wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible
Swift sword;
His truth is marching on.

Glory, glory! Hallelujah!
Glory, glory! Hallelujah!
Glory, glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling Camps;
They have building Him an altar in the evening dews and Damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring Lamps;
Our God is marching on.

I have read a fiery gospel, writ in burnished rows of steel;
“As ye deal with my condemners, so with you my grace shall Deal;
Let the hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
Since God is marching on.”

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call Retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment Seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! by jubilant,  My feet!
Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the Sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me;
As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free,
While God is marching on.

Glory, glory! Hallelujah!
Glory, glory! Hallelujah!
Glory, glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

Faith and Unbelief – Humility and Pride

FAITH – Deeply believes God will do what HE SAYS – and it subsequently produces WORDS of agreement, and ACTIONS of obedience.

FAITH – Need not understand.  It doesn’t look at the natural. But believes GOD WILL do and GOD CAN do what GOD SAYS He will do.

Luke 1:37 says, For nothing is impossible with God.”

It’s one thing to Believe IN HIM, it is an entirely different matter to BELIEVE HIM.  This is where our faith is tested.  Do I take Him at His Word? Do I truly HEAR Him? Have I “REALIZED” His Promises?

PRIDE and FAITH are Opposites, just as UNBELIEF AND FAITH are Opposites.

UNBELIEF is really masked, or camouflaged PRIDE.

Let’s consider the 12 spies that returned from beyond the Jordan to report back to Moses and Aaron and the Children of Israel in the wilderness. The account is in Numbers 13:26-33.

10 of these spies  – we, in modern day, would consider “humble” – for they said “we are as grasshoppers”, and 2 of these spies – we’d consider “proud and arrogant” for they said “we can take the land!”

10 were PRIDEFUL – “relying on their own strength”  – their report was given according to a human perspective, not according to God’s perspective.

2 were HUMBLE – “relying on God’s ability to do as He said, and relying on God’s strength to make it all possible”.

DO YOU SEE, MY FRIENDS, HOW PRIDE LOOKS DECEIVING?  How it is a false humility? and “appearing humble” is in actuality UNBELIEF disguised?

True humility BELIEVES who God is and understands who we are. We maintain hope, and strength….and are more than conquerors!  For we know it all has to do WITH GOD, and NOT US, except to step out in FAITH that He will do as he says. We have to do OUR PART to do that stepping into what He says to.

NOT YET CONVINCED? Let’s look at the 10 spies report: Numbers 13: 26-33

“It truly flows with milk and honey” – what God had promised about the land was indeed true.  These men acknowledge it was as He SAID, and an awesome land of milk and honey, and they revealed its wonderful fruits.

“nevertheless” means “despite all of that.”

At that moment, Moses, and every man of faith in Israel should have cried out and said, “Nevertheless nothing! How can one say, ‘We went to the land, found it good, and God’s promise true,’ and then say, ‘Despite all this . . .’?”

The 10 spies continued:

Despite God’s words and His promise….” the people there are strong.”

We will disregard God’s faithful promise… “for their cities are large and fortified .”

and Who cares about God’s Words…we saw with our own eyes the descendants of Anak, a tribe of large men! “

and despite God’s Ability…. “the land is taken up! the Amalekites dwell there, and  the Amorites . . . and so do the Canaanites.  “There is no room for us.”

Their UNBELIEF was revealed in their WORD: “Nevertheless”…and JUSTIFIED in their WORDS spoken thereafter…

It is hard to imagine a report more unbelieving and unfaithful to God than this; a report that recognizes the faithfulness of God’s promise, the truth of His word, and yet says, “Despite all that . . .”

So, let’s look at Caleb’s bold report of Numbers 13, and Joshua’s concurring:

“Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

Then Caleb quieted the people: Caleb – blessed forever! – commanded the people to immediately (at once) trust and obey God and to take the land, because God had made them able.  It took great courage for Caleb and Joshua to stand against the tide of unbelief, of doubt and “despite all that“ attitude.

Caleb, for sure, had the spirit of Romans 3:4: Let God be true but every man a liar. Numbers 14:24 describes Caleb AND HOW GOD LOOKED UPON HIM:  “But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.

FAITH is really HUMILITY. We believe and follow another, ONE, greater than ourselves.

BUT, the majority sometimes rules, even if they are all “dead wrong”, for the other 10 men who had gone up with him countered this rally for faith to rise up, with their own declarations of UNBELIEF:

We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”

Unbelief often presents itself as being “factual” or “practical” or “down to earth.” Yet, the most factual, practical, and down to earth thing we can to is trust the word of the living God. Their unbelief was not according to the facts, but despite the facts.  They left out their BIGGEST FACT – that what God SAYS is greater than Man’s abilities or inabilities.

God’s ABILITY must be taken into consideration!

Significantly, we see that two spies, Joshua and Caleb, could see the exact same sights – the same grapes, the same men, the same land, the same cities – and they come away singing in faith and encouraging the others to BELIEF not only could God do it, but that THEY COULD DO IT through faith and obedience…by going forward.

While at the same time, the others were filled with a sense of certain doom.

Ultimately, faith or unbelief does not spring from circumstances or environment, but from our hearts, which God must change.

To confirm scripture with scripture, let’s look at Jeremiah 17:5-7, and think of what was just shared:

This is what the Lord says:

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who draws strength from mere flesh
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
That person will be like a bush in the wastelands;
they will not see prosperity when it comes.
They will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.

Their UNBELIEF indeed brought about their desert experience.  It led them away from prosperity when it was presented.  It took them into a salt land where death is imminent.

Now let’s skip to the New Testament, and talk of Jesus Christ.

What GRIEVED Jesus the most, as he walked this earth?  Was it not UNBELIEF?  Can you not hear his words, “O, Ye of Little Faith!” as he went along life’s way?

Now, tell me, what PLEASED Jesus the most, as he walked this earth? Was it not BELIEF? Can you not hear his words joyously declared to the centurion, “ I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”  or the words to the blind men “Do you believe I am able to do this? and then “According to your faith, it will be done for you.”

God does not respond to our need. He responds to OUR FAITH.  Jesus responded to FAITH.

My prayer for you, my reader, is that FAITH WILL ARISE WITHIN YOU. AND YOU WILL KNOW GOD’S ABILITY, AMIDST YOUR PERCEIVED INABILITY against what the Enemy may be doing in your household, neighborhood, workplace, or your country.  WE HAVE GOD!

There is no inability in God.  You can’t go wrong if you will trust Him and follow Him when He gives you his leading to advance forward in obedience to something He has told you.  DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE “INTIMIDATED” BY UNBELIEVERS…and Un-BELIEVE-ers. The latter can be God’s own people, if they are not actively believing God, and walking in their faith. Stand your ground, Humble yourself before God and walk in FAITH and HUMILITY BEFORE GOD. (Even if the World around you labels you as Proud!)

I Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

One With God

One With God

The Word of God can be summed up in one simple revelation, God desires intimate fellowship with mankind.

The Book of Genesis begins with God creating man and of His visiting man in the garden of Eden.  It is man who chooses to separate himself from fellowshiping with God through disobedience. God extends the offer of renewed fellowship by means of a redeemer.   In the interval of time between  the promise and the coming of Christ, the promised Redeemer, God continues to establish communication with mankind.  It is interesting to note that God talked to man immediately after his fall.  And when Cain killed his brother, God again communicated with the sinner.

Sin does not end man’s ability to hear from the Lord.  It does limit our ability to fellowship with God.  The very act of salvation of the sinner requires one to hear from the Spirit of God.  Only the Spirit of God can bear witness to the heart of the hearer that Jesus is Lord.  For the “faith” necessary to believe “comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”.

If the sinner can and does hear from the Lord then the Believer, one who has accepted Jesus as Lord, should have very intimate contact with God the Father. He is made Righteous through the Blood of Jesus, and thus is Holy in the sight of God.

The cause of not entering into dialogue with the Father is lack of knowledge of what we are in Christ Jesus.  There can not be any other force that could inhibit fellowship with God, our Father, than the force of ignorance.

It is Not the matter of:

1)     Being good enough, because we come in the Name of Jesus, who has been made goodness for us. Jesus has been made righteousness for all of us.

2)    Having earned the right because no man can earn the right, for making one mistake makes you guilty of having broken all the  Laws of God.

3)   Having obtained a spiritual Maturity, no one obtains a spiritual maturity that entices God into fellowship.  Paul stated that he had not obtained such a spiritual maturity.  Yet it is obvious that Paul heard from God.

4) Having a special calling or God given position which requires you to hear from God so that you may fulfill that office.  We are all partakers of the covenant of faith which comes by hearing and being led by the Spirit of God. We all qualify to hear from God by the grace extended to us through Christ Jesus. God is not a respecter of persons, even though He may require some to walk in a position of greater responsibility than others. There are no “special saints”.

God has called Jesus the “First Born”of many children to be “Born Again” into the Family of God.  We are called to be led by His Spirit as He directs us ,as a father directs and instructs his children.

Christ in You – The Hope of Glory

What do you do when you love the Lord and yet you are under the control of a stronghold of sin in your life?

Let’s talk about it… For I have good news…His love has made it possible to be loosed from those chains that bind you.

Jesus came to set the captives free, those who were held under bondage of sin.  To those who received Him as Lord He gave the power over sin. Yet this power or ability to overcome sin is not just a gift nor an extension of power…It is the very nature of God Himself. Take a look at II Peter 1:3-4. Does it not say, we are partakers of his divine nature? Then, in Colossians, it states that we were joined in union with the Spirit of Christ. It is the ability of Christ in us that enables us to overcome.

In Romans 7 Paul cried out “Who will deliver me from this state of captivity to sin.” (Paraphrased) The answer: “Thanks be to Jesus Christ.”

We need to realize that “We can do all things through Christ Jesus.” This first of all refers to His ability to help us over come the flesh nature that seems to have us bound. The wonderful thing that God did for us was not to contend with the flesh and then when we were righteous enough fill us with His Spirit. He took the penalty for sin and its consequences and paid them in full so that sin had no claim upon us, in doing so He made us righteous because we stand on the righteousness of Jesus. Being made righteous in Christ, He then put the Spirit of Christ in union with us so that together Christ and us, as a new creature, a union of our spirit and the Spirit of Christ, we now can work together to overcome the flesh from within. The flesh is no longer a problem once we acknowledge the Spirit of Christ within us and His purpose to make us Holy one step at a time.

We can only be Holy through Him and remain Holy through Him working within us.

We grow in Holiness even as we grow in relationship with Him. “Where I am weak He is my strength.” As we take our short comings to Him and ask for His help, He engages the problem with us. Regardless how many times we fail He does not condemn us rather He is there to join us again and again until we have the victory over the problem. He brings us to the next problem and deals with it until we conquer it and then to the next problem and the next.

A stronghold can be overcome by the same method.It is only a stronghold because we have given it authority in our lives and it resists our weak efforts to refuse it place. It has become exercised by use and grown strong by exercise and must be brought low by giving it into the Hands of the Greater One Who indwells us. He met this problem (and all others) on the cross and striped of its power. Confronted by Christ it will quickly bend its knee to its Lord.

Freely submitting it to Christ is not to give up your need to fight by His side. You have your part to play.

You need to understand why the problem has been readily attached to you and so difficult to get rid of.

If you had not had a need you would never have endorsed the problem as a solution to your need. When one is lonely for a mate he has a need within himself which he desires to fulfill. It is easy to substitute Lust for a need to be loved. The problem with this substitute is that it opens the door to a spirit of lust which can constantly present thoughts to your mind throughout the day. You opened the door to Lust as a substitute to meet a longing within your soul. It does meet that need for a season but it cannot fulfill the need. Your need more and more of the substitute to take your mind of your real need that isn’t being meet. Soon the soul becomes addicted to the substitute and the substitute becomes a stronghold.

By turning to Christ, Who is able to meet all your needs, you begin to receive what you soul really needs. As the need gets met bit by ever- increasing bit, the hold of the substitute becomes weaker and ever weaker until it is no longer a stronghold but merely a constant temptation. As your relationship grows in Christ, even the temptation loses its appeal.

The Love for God grows within you as your relationship with Christ grows within. Jesus said, “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.”

The love for Christ gives you the fulfillment necessary to deny the substitute because you no longer need it. It has lost its appeal to you. The spirit of lust which you readily listened to has lost his ability to influence you and apart from you opening the door for him, he has no power and certainly no authority of his own to force you to listen.

How does one enter into an relationship with the Spirit of Christ which indwells them? Simply by acknowledging His presence. All the crying for mercy and begging for forgiveness, all the fasting and praying, all the altar calls and the laying on of hands Can Not Do what acknowledging the presence of Christ in you Will Do. For once you have made contact and know His presence in you, you will begin to grow in faith that He will never leave nor give up on you.

Whatever the weakness or lack that made way for whatever substitute you embraced, He can begin to fill that need and be the strength in place of that weakness. He brings you to the place that as you are able to embrace Him in love. He removes the substitute from you, and He takes its place. Once He takes its place, it can not return until He has been removed. You may stumble and fall, but He is ready to forgive and strengthen you again and again, enabling you to walk more perfect day by day. The day will come when you are more than a conqueror. You become able to minister the salvation you experienced to another, and in doing so you become a deliverer. You are able to shed that love in you which made you an overcomer to another, sowing the seed of victory into their life.

You simply acknowledge His indwelling of you by sitting quiet and thinking of His presence in you. You quiet your thoughts and just acknowledge Him. You do not have to praise Him, nor address Him in any way. Simply acknowledge His presence. Allow Him to address your quiet mind and bear witness to Himself. You may not be able to quiet your mind for more that a minute at a time at first, but eventually you will be able to grow in time and in His presence.

He will make Himself known to you. He will bear witness to Himself. He will establish Himself by addressing the foundation of the Word that you know. In time he will ever increase that foundation of the Word through personal revelation of the Word to you in your quiet time. He will establish the Word, line upon line, precept upon precept. He said, “ If MY Word abides in you, I and My father will come and abide in you”. By acknowledging His presence you open the door for Him to abide in you. By being quiet you give Him the place to address you through the thoughts of your spirit. He will speak to you through your spirit and He will speak so clearly at times that you will hear it as if He spoke to you audibly. Be persistent and your diligence will be rewarded. Remember He has already made you righteous and acceptable to Him, He is waiting for you to invite Him into your daily life and into your thoughts.

Once you begin to experience the Lord in your life you will find the power of the world’s influence begin to fade. He desires to utterly consume you to the point you can say, “I was crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, but not I but Christ liveth in me.” This was the whole point of the gospel, “Christ in you the hope of glory.” That glory is the manifested presence of Christ in your life. It is not difficult. In all things you acknowledge Him. When you are lonely turn to Him for comfort. It may not seem to met the need of the soul immediately, but it will give the life that the soul craves for. The soul must learn to adjust over a period of time to receive from the spirit the life that it is lacking. As that life begins to quicken the soul it becomes more and more ready to turn to the spirit for its needs. It becomes more spirit dependent than flesh dependent to the point that it is ready to be led by the spirit and not the desires of the flesh.

“Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.” becomes a reality for you. It is a process that you put into motion. God has done all that He can do on your behalf until you begin to acknowledge what He has done and begin to walk in it.
